It would behoove the rich to keep their lower minions pleased and happy. Have they not studied history. Just look at the Russian Revolution......if I was a filthy rich banker wanting to control the world I would not be destroying a very well armed US middle class.

Here is an excerpt from the wiki page on the Russian Revolution.......some of this exactly mirrors the situation in the USA today...........

A nationwide crisis had developed in Russia affecting social, economic, and political relations. The policies of the Provisional Government had brought the country to the brink of catastrophe. Disorder in industry and transport had intensified, and difficulties in obtaining provisions had increased. Gross industrial production in 1917 had decreased by over 36 percent from what it had been in 1916. In the autumn, as much as 50 percent of all enterprises were closed down in the Urals, the Donbas, and other industrial centers, leading to mass unemployment. At the same time, the cost of living increased sharply. The real wages of the workers fell about 50 percent from what they had been in 1913. Russia’s national debt in October 1917 had risen to 50 billion rubles. Of this, debts to foreign governments constituted more than 11 billion rubles. The country faced the threat of financial bankruptcy.[2] In September and October 1917, there were strikes by the Moscow and Petrograd workers, the miners of the Donbas, the metalworkers of the Urals, the oil workers of Baku, the textile workers of the Central Industrial Region, and the railroad workers on 44 different railway lines. In these months alone more than a million workers took part in mass strikes.

Now on to the best parts...............

Workers established control over production and distribution in many factories and plants.

By October 1917 there had been over four thousand peasant uprisings against landowners.

I'm pretty ignorant on the history of the Russian Revolution but just reading these first few paragraphs is scary enough how it mirrors the situation here in the US. And most of this was caused by Russia's involvement in the war right? Well America is knee deep in war while our "homeland" is a complete and utter mess.

It seems that history is repeating itself. It also seems that the same bankers that started the Russian revolution might be starting a similar revolution here in America? Interesting. Oh the web we weave..........

I agree with your statement. However, it seems that the middle class as well as the remainder of the American public seem to be MORE stupid than the wealthy. Out of laziness and apathy, they continue falling for the same routine over and over and let the media dictate their realities. As long Americans still have comforts, they will remain blissfully ignorant of the dire nature of the economy and the state of the world.

Actually you're right. The rich elite are smart. It is us middle class who are stupid. Anyways, why are we so ignorant, at least I am on such an important aspect of history. I don't remember studying ANYTHING about the Russian Revolution in school. It was mostly the French and American revolutions. Anyone recommend a good unbiased book?

Also what about the fact that jewish bankers were behind the Bolsheviks or something like that?

Why are the masses so stupid? Bread and circuses, folks... bread and circuses. The middle class is completely oblivious to the fleecing they've been taking for nearly 3 decades - much like the frog in a pot with the heat being gradually turned up, they've barely noticed that now they're soup!

The elite scum HAVE learned from history and have watched how the "Commoners" of every empire have become sloth and ignorant. The American middle class is no different. The only saving grace is that they will over-step and deliver a wake-up jolt that will get the ball rolling against them. I think they are VERY close. I also think that they know they are VERY close and are trying to reel it back in a bit.

But that's what happened in Russia. That was my point. The "workers" so to speak rose up and look what happened. Is that the same fate or path America is on? I'm a "worker". You're a "worker". Do we abandoned common sense and reason only to rise up and suffer the same fate that Russia did?

It's always said that "isms" evolve. Meaning we are constantly evolving from capitalism....to socialism.......to communism.............back to capitalism............I think it was Marx who said this? Something like that? I do remember that from college
LOL.

So are we headed towards communism/socialism............wouldn't "rising up" against the government simply bring it closer to fruition? I don't know all this crap is confusing. I wish I lived in 14th century America as a Native American.

Also there are just too damn many people in this world. It's like living with neighbors........if there is enough land separating you from the neighbor you don't like who the hell has to worry about getting along with him/her
