Symposium: Why do so many Jews still vote Democrat?

More and more often, I am getting asked by Jews (conservative) and non-Jews alike: Why are American Jews still aligned with the Democratic Party, why are they backing Obama so fervently, and why are they so incredibly hostile to American Christians, who have never harmed them? I've run out of ideas for answers. I can easily trace the history of the Jewish allegiance to the Democratic Party and I can explain the traditional, pre-20th Century Jewish wariness of Christians, but I cannot explain how, in the 21st Century, these views still hold.

I dont have much experience with this website, but so far it seems quite alligned with the right. I found this ascertation to be very true, and the comments are quite informative as well.

It seems socialist style policies have been rooted into at least modern Jewish history dating back to WWI. Why? Wouldnt have a clue.

What I have found more interesting though, is the fervent zionist beliefs stapled in the religious right, which mostly seem to be made up of fundamentalist Christians. These people are commonly known as Christian zionists. So my main question is why haven't these two groups made an alignment?

Or have they? Could the zionist Christian right and the Jewish left be the cart and horse behind the veil of partison politics?

There were more Bush trashing threads than Obama so far by a long shot.

oh indeed...I remember them quite clearly...

The problem is the position is corrupt, no matter who fills it, you are new so all you've seen is Obama.

...wow..when did I say i was an "Israel supporter"? I have no stance on the issue of Israel being a state. The only thing I care about is American foreign policy that is affected by israel. Im an isolationist and could care less what israel is or does...

Not my problem about whether your so worried about Israel while your head firmly planted in the sand...
