Civil War Pterodactyl?

I saw this Image (which was one of two) taken supposedly during the civil war. They killed a pterodactyl?

Is this authentic?

Sorry if it's been discussed.

Interesting. I've heard of things like this before. I doubt the photos can be validated though..

The first one is great, i don't know of the story behind it though.

I think the second one was taken as a promo for a TV show, i can't remember where i read that, but im sure that's the case.

As it turns out this photograph was a promotional tool of Orlando, Florida’s Haxan Production (producers of the movie The Blair Witch Project), to develop interest in their forthcoming sci-fi television program, “Freaky Links.” The series, first broadcast on Fox TV in 2000, involved the character “Derek Barnes,” an investigator of the unknown.

i saw something like this on FreakyLinks on fox like nine years ago. It was the last episode

There is one picture of an apparent Pterodactyl hanging from a barn in Arizona in the late 19th century. Although no one knows for sure if it is a hoax or not.
