Yea. I would say that the creation of a occupational specialty that a soldier can be assigned is in ecpectation of large number of "detainees".

This has been traditionally handled by MPs. I guess they can't train MPs fast enough.

I watched two seconds of that video and wanted to hurl. That's all it took to make me angry.

"Military Occupational Specialty Internment Resettlement Specialist".

Need I say more?

WHOA!!!!

Not much surprises me anymore, but this on a national guard website?
I thought they are here to guard the country, not police it!
Starred, flagged and we're screwed.
This was one conspiracy I really didnt beleive.
Now I just dont know anymore.
Maybe chadwickious or someone else can explain this away, but I can't.
"Camp" makes it sound so nice....

Prisons have been called 'Camps' for quite a long time.

Concentration Camps?

Florida Prisons are referred to as 'Camps'

There is one in Florida called 'Liberty Work Camp'. Hows that for ironic?

What gets me about that page is the term resettlement specialist.

Here is the definition of resettlement from thefreedictionary.com

Noun 1. resettlement - the transportation of people (as a family or colony) to a new settlement (as after an upheaval of some kind)

Source

It seems like all the rumors of FEMA detention camps could be true. If they are training men and women for this role then there must be camps all over the country.

If you do a quick google search you will find that ads for these internment/resettlement specialists are posted all over the country. I found them on hispanic websites and that made me think they are going for those who have less ties to this country. It has my paranoid meter going off at 100% and would suggest everyone do some searching on their own to confirm.

i just got done watching the video and wow are you really paranoid? instead of thinking so much about the gov using the military for civ why dont you look at the fact that we are going to be getting rid of gitmo reallllllly soon and need more MPs obviously to conduct these operations....i reallly dont think that you all should be worried at all....lol

this is disturbing. hopefully it is not for "concentration camp" scenarios. we all definitely need to pay a little close attention, and do a little researching... good post. s&f

I picked up on this on Infowars yesterday, and the main hits turned up hispanic job websites. 31E used to be titled "corrections specialist". All 31 class jobs are considered military police corps, the name change is the only thing that strikes me. 31B is MP's, 31D is CID, and then the 31E.

They are prison guards for military convicts...

What else is everyone so worried about?

Tell that to the Americans and Canadians of Japanese origin who spent years in these camps during WW2 and lost everything.

They were 'military convicts' during that time.

To everybody: Get ready! You know what I am talking about...

This position has been around for years. What do you expect them to use to watch over military prisoners? Clerks?

I always thought CID was basically for inside military intelligence only. As in, they would be the kind of people who spy on the military people.

Like say a soldier is selling drugs and such to other soldiers, then CID might send in someone under cover to investigate it. Or, they might try to use CID to get a soldier to give away secret information in exchange for cash etc. A 21 jump street kind of thing.

Some people would be suspected of being CID in your unit if they were abnormally nosy about things. Although I honestly never seen anything happen of this nature, it was just what people would say.

But these things were always directed internally towards the military and policing the military, rather than being towards civilians. Unless of course the civilian was on base.

That position sounds to me like it would be someone who would be a guard at a brig. People don't realize it, but the miltary actually has it's own prison system, and yes they do have quite a few people who are confined into it. Especially in terms of people who are deserters(awol for more than 28 days). And that happens all the time, I mean all the time.

And what makes me think that is that the police positions and such for the military were always directed towards the military, not towards civilians.

But I do not really know, that is just a guess.

Also, when you are in the military, if you change bases and stuff, there is a few day period where before you go to your unit you go through all these courses and stuff, and you stay in a temporary barracks.

You have to learn all the local laws and such during these classes and what is expected of you etc.

I suppose that would technically be such a thing, as you do stay in a special place until you are resettled into your unit. But it seems a bit odd to me that the position would be a full time MOS.

But it is true that people are constantly going in and out like that, so I suppose it is possible to be talking of that.

I really do not know, these are just similar functions I noticed while in the military.

Close gitmo real soon? Umm ok.

Since when did they re-educate terrorists and put them back in the sector or general public. I guess if you have a brain chip thats cool.

Wow... They're not even bothering to hide in plain sight anymore. I just listened to a few of the videos while surfing and had to laugh at one of them...

"Sometimes we get to blow stuff up!" I could hear the grin on his face.

Perhaps someone can explain to me how actual soldiers would turn on Americans. I have no trust or faith in our government and while I would believe that they would desire to lock us all up, I can't come to believe that American soldiers would carry out the task, if anything I see them fighting against it. So how does this all work?

^ agreed.

I don't trust the government (never did) but I don't see how this is ..logical..or realistic.

The video didn't make me paranoid either. I just saw men and women being trained to work in prisons. Where did it say in the video these prisons are meant for us?

It didn't.

Conclusions have been jumped to. Paranoia once again wreaks here on ATS
