Imagine the world is an island, and each person represents a country, and there is also an evil spirit - that only the American can hear.

The evil spirit gives the American a gun and tells him that one of the men plans to kill him, also the rest of them are not to be trusted. So he leaps up and shoots one of the men dead.

He then waves the gun around and gives everyone else a job to do, one he tells to build him a shelter, another to go fishing, another to go collect fruit etc.

The evil spirit tells him that the Iraqi is plotting against him, he has a gun stored somewhere secretly and intends to use it, as is the North Korean - they should be watched with extreme care - but the time to kill them is not yet. But he should make sure they don't get enough food - that they are starving the most of all.

The rest of the people on the island run off in fear, and go and do what they are asked to do by the crazy madman with the gun.

At the end of the day - the American then eats all the food, leaving just enough to keep the rest of the people alive. He then moves into the shelter built for him, sleeps in the bed made for him.

He knows he needs to leave them just enough food to stay alive, so they can do whatever he requires - but not enough food so they might be strong enough to attack him.

That night the evil spirit tells the American that the Iraqi is going to go and get his hidden gun, so the American quickly shoots him dead.

This is exactly how the world works - and many people like to say that the world couldn't survive without the American? On the whole - they would be a lot better off, they would get to eat and use what they built or grew.

The best thing that could happen is the American would suddenly realize that the voice in his head is evil, not good - and it is full of lies. (Obviously this evil spirit is the MSM - the voice of the NWO.)

Perhaps the others could take his gun, and convince him to forget the evil voice in his head.

But America isn't the only one with a gun.

The evil spirit had a long history, and not just with America.

In fact, there were gunfights and murders on that island, even before America was around.

It is almost as if others on the island had guns first, yet failed so horribly, that the result is the America inhabitant was able to pick up the pieces and run things.

Now to get out of this island imaginary world.

Can anyone here name a civilization run by HUMAN BEINGS that would not commit violence nor consume extra resources than needed.

Just about every civilization and culture that ever existed has initiated a war.

Just about every civilization and culture that ever existed has elites that consume enormous resources, much more than what they need.

Don't worry, America will eventually fall from its high point. Then there will be another power to do the same thing that you can complain about in your useless jealousy.

I think if you want to find evil, find the religions and sacred books that promote killing as a means to promote itself. Those religions and books can be found around the world.

If you want to find evil, find those nations that hold no value to human life, and that name specific groups of humans after vermin.

If you want to find evil, find those individuals who kill or harm other individuals as sport or for their own gain.

If you want to find evil, find the mindset that centralizes power for the benefit of themselves and to lower the individual to the vermin level.

I would say there was more evil before dark ages than afterwards.

Let me see if I can summarize your arguments here.

Every country is evil, America is just better at it at the moment - and everyone is just jealous of the gun toting psycho's?

Ok - got it.

How about a reality check, why listen to the MSM and support crappy wars that only benefit those who want to step on your neck with their jackboots?

it has nothing to do with nationality, but with a persons heart. There are evil people all over the world. Evil powerful people exist in all kinds of shapes and colors. They are men, they are women, white, black, it makes no difference.

When people realize this, which I believe is happening now albeit very slowly, the world will be an island of diplomacy and reason and peace. We will be able to weed out the Evil people, or they will die off, who knows.

But the spark that gave us life cared not for race or lines in the ground. Neither should we

Go take a look at a history book and you will see the problem is not the USA its man. Even in the bible you will find people killing their own brother.

So where do you live? It seems you have a lot of anger towards USA

This has nothing to do with America, or Americans - it is purely about the way people are manipulated by lies.

The country could have been anywhere - any race - it would make not an ounce of difference, and I feel nothing but empathy for the American people.

They are being lied to - they are being controlled - and they are doing evil out of fear.

I live in SE Asia - but I am not Asian. One of my friends actually joined the US army, many years ago - I tried to talk him out of it - he didn't understand. He then worked in US intelligence in South Korea for years - now, he understands.

The only reason you can post on a "free" internet forum is because America allows it.

If any other country, such as China, was in charge we would have much more restriction then we have now.

I am not saying America is perfect but it is the best we have and somebody has to do the dirty work.

By the way I am not an American although i have lived and spent most of my adult life in the US. And i can honestly say i have never been ill treated anywhere in America.

The standard every day American is a law abiding , freedom loving person who minds their own and takes care of their own. Live and let live kind of people.

I frankly find it horrifying that the media has somehow allowed the image of a corrupt American persona to leak out all over the net when, if you ever lived and dwelt among Americans you find most honest, hard working people rather then the aforementioned.

I am not saying that their is not need for improvement because of course their is.

Yet if you look at America's history you can see a path that lights the way toward freedom.

Look at Black Culture...we have seen in my lifetime...the MLK/RFK days...when colored people where just coming forth to declare their rights...and many many were killed...many were imprisoned...and then they were decimated by gangs, prison and drugs yet now we have a Black President who emerged out of the Johnson years right on through to present day society and he now is in the highest office in the land.

No matter how you slice it having a black President is one heck of societal migration from the days of MLK.

And this is something that every American and freedom loving person should take heart in that America has led the way of human rights for years.

Having President Barack Obama is proof of this. (by the way I was a John McCain or Ron Paul fan)

America is not perfect but America does love freedom. The proof is in the pudding. And even if America has moved toward a socialist agenda it can still be brought back toward the Republic that is was without violence simply because grass roots peaceful loving people will begin to work at local politics to help insure that their children will live in a freedom loving country which states that congress shall make no law restricting freedom of speech.

I for one love the culture of freedom that the West has brought to the world. The ideas of freedom of expression and freedom of speech are still foundation in the psyche of most Americans.

We still have persons who are being persecuted for their stances here in America though. Many college professors and university professors have been persecuted even as we speak here in America and so the battle is far from over...but the point is America is still an icon of freedom...and most Americans believe in this icon.

Whats with your big monologue about America? I think people have totally missed the point here.

This is about lies - and control, and fear driving unnecessary and unethical wars.

If I thought it was because Americans were bad people - then I would have left the evil spirit out of the story entirely.

Everyone can be manipulated if they think they are in danger - my message is - the danger is NOT REAL - it is purely created by the media. Snap out of it.

It's sad to me that this thread has devolved into an America-bash-a-thon. There are tens of millions of such threads all over the internet...do we really need another? Yeah, we get it, America bad, everyone else good. Four legs good, two legs bad. baaaa.

What I was hoping for when I clicked on the thread title was something a little more imaginative...the image that comes to mind is Easter Island. Easter Island is, literally, the most remote place on earth, meaning it is further from any other island or land mass than anyplace else on earth. How people came there originally is a mystery...the people that lived there knew from their legends that they came from "someplace else" originally, but they had no specific knowledge of any other islands or civilizations. So, for all practical purposes, in their minds, Easter Island was the entire planet and the rest of the world was an endless sea on all sides. They were totally isolated and contained within their little world for quite some time. The question of whether other islands and peoples existed must have seemed to them similar to our debates about whether "life exists elsewhere in the universe."

Easter Island thus presents a rather good metaphor for the world at large.

The outcome, frankly speaking, was not good. For a number of centuries the island was densly forested and people got along fairly well, with the occasional tribal battle/squabble. Eventually the island was divinded into a number of tribal "nations" or sub-terratories (I think there were about a dozen of them), each with access both to the coast and the center. Think of a pizza cut into a dozen slices, each with a wide "crust" area along the coast and increasingly tinner, tapering area as you headed towards the middle.

Eventually, the human population on the island grew too big, the last of the trees were cut down, and then....something happened. We're not sure what, but when the European explorers first showed up a centrury or two later, the island had clearly been decimated. Survivors told of a terrible war several generations back...a war for food, that included mass cannibalism. The first thing the survivors asked the Euros for was wood...apparently wood was the equivalent of "gold" on the island, since the last tree had been chopped down several generations earlier. Without wood, they couldn't make canoes, which radically reduced their fishing opportunities. The result: A stripped, denuded, treeless island with a small number of extremely malnourished survivors and tales of violence, cannibalism, war, and population crash.

To me, this provides a much better metaphor of what might actually happen to humanity on a totally isolated island...and a much more intereresting set of ideas to ponder than "Standard U.S.-bashing messageboard thread No. 341,423,563,232,342"

Please, If you didnt mean the post to be about America, why use it as an example, ... you can't comment on a country you dont live in.

... there are other country's way more evil and vicious than america will ever be, ... lets say Iran for instance, ... they execute young girls for crimes of chastity, ... chastity !! like sitting in a car with another man.

and were the evil ones ?? this has nothing to do with evil spirits, but of the greed and fear's of men. It's easy to call out america, untill of course somebody invades your country and your clamoring for help !

Well - it seems Americans can do nothing but defend their own evil and corrupt government.

That means you will never get rid of the voices in your head driving you to insane acts of violence throughout the world.

I am sorry for you - your country is killing you - if only you defended the real spirit of America - not the vile vampire it has become.

America was founded on freedom, liberty, justice and self reliance and non intervention. Such ideals were truly an inspiration and light to the world - why don't you fight for that?

If you must fight - those things are worth fighting for, but instead you listen to your demons - and America has become that demon embodied.

Why do you have such stock in what American does ??? Where are you from ???

Perhaps before changing the world you should begin with your immediate surroundings. Evil Spirits ?? Demons ?? Does your car run on " magic juice" ..... and is your village computer known as the " box that knows all"

get with it.

Your little allegory sounds a bit like a remake of Peter Schiff' Consumer Island.

The Hollywood B version , with an evil spirit , a gun , and a bit of gratuitous violence tossed-in to broaden the draw.

Snips....

The Consumer Island

Some people that got stranded on an island, and I think it was 6 or 7 were Asians and there was one American....

And so at the end of the day, they would all gather around and prepare this feast and the American would sit there and eat it. But he would´nt eat it all, he´d just leave enough crumbs so he could give to the 6 Asians so they could go on and repeat it again tomorrow....

Now, the way modern economists would look at it, they would say “Well, this American is vital to the whole island economy....

But the reality is, every Asian on that island, his lot in life would be dramatically improved if they kicked the American off the island because now they would have a lot more to eat....

Full Text

A "gun" variation.....

So we've all heard the 5 Asians and 1 American stuck on the island analogy, where all the Asians work and the American eats all the fruits of labor and leaves the crumbs to the Asians. The assumption is that the Asians eventually will kick the American off the island and they will live off the fruit of their own labor. What would happen in this scenario if the 1 American had a gun and bullets, and the Asians who were starving before they got to this island now eat better(though piddly compared to the American) than they've eaten before in their lives?

Could the American convince Asian sheeple to keep working?

Photojournalist: Hey, man, you don't talk to the Colonel. You listen to him. The man's enlarged my mind. He's a poet-warrior in the classic sense. I mean sometimes he'll... uh... well, you'll say "hello" to him, right? And he'll just walk right by you. He won't even notice you. And suddenly he'll grab you, and he'll throw you in a corner, and he'll say, "do you know that 'if' is the middle word in life? If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you, if you can trust yourself when all men doubt you"... I mean I'm no, I can't... I'm a little man, I'm a little man, he's... he's a great man. I should have been a pair of ragged claws scuttling across floors of silent seas...
