CURITIBA -- On December 22, 2008, at 10:40 PM, the witness spotted intense lights and shot a spectacular video for thirty minutes. This is one frame from the amazing video.

this site say's the picture is a sketch of the object. i have read the story already and from what i can tell this is only a sighting report and no pictures were taken.

i could be wrong ?

Easynow -there could well be a mix up as both stories are posted in the filers files next to each other.

yea i agree they are interesting reports but the mix up with the story's is puzzling maybe the ufo'snorthwest website has the wrong info

well thanks for posting and i hope if there is video of this , we get to see it. i often wonder ...does mufon hold back info like this on purpose ?

I wonder sometimes if mufon was actually invented to collect and withold the truth, to hold on to the golden nuggets like these. i would really like to see this footage.

As for MUFON,its well known that the US Intelligence communities have 'infiltrated' UFO organisations in the past -perhaps this story from Puerto Rico has some merit:

We were invited to participate as lecturer in the MUFON UFO Symposium held on the days 2, 3 and 4 of July of 1993, in Richmond, Virginia, USA In our lecture we informed on the UFO situation in Puerto Rico, but we also lectured, on certain facts pertaining to the UFO situation in El Yunque, a series of encounters with alien beings and our suspicion, due to certain facts, of the possibility that the U.S. Government kept flying saucer type crafts there, we also expressed ourselves on the possibility of there being official U.S. / alien contact in a site close to the rain forest: Roosevelt Roads U.S. Naval Station.
Right after we sent our paper on all this to Mr. Walt Andrus, general director of MUFON, for it to be published in the Symposium's Proceedings Book ,a strange set of events started happening. Apparently, the content of the paper touched a sensitive nerve somewhere and "someone" seemed to be very alarmed by it. But more interestingly, that same "someone" seemed to connected MUFON's higher levels.

I know of at least one sphere shaped aircraft, but no idea of their status, or whether they were simply demonstration models:

Doesn't explain any previous, use of things like that. Or spheres that have been observed moving very quickly. Handling is probably an issue too because of wind. So not offering this as an explanation, rather to add to the mix.

The still frame appears to show masts of some kind at ground level, maybe boats or radio antennas. I'm not a believer, but if extraterrestrial UFOs were to visit earth I'd have thought communications hubs would be of particular interest, much as they are for black projects dealing with communication intercepts.

So I'd be interested to see the video, if not a hoax, just to see if they are antennas or boat masts (or something else entirely) . If they are boat masts it would suggest there could be more people in the area to witness the objects. The object looks very conspicuous.

The still is taken from an Australian documentary about a UFO seen taking up water. Here it is, and if you skip to 1:36 you will see it. It's a CGI reenactment of the event.

Well found! It's annoying that sites are so loose with attribution of images. I did use MUFON's CMS but there was no Brazilian entry for the date given in the article. I did find one Brazilian case with a video, but it was entirely unrelated.

The sighting is not on the MUFON CMS:

www.mufon.com... (if you select Brazil as the country and click submit it returns 50 cases for Brazil, I searched by date range).

And the article specifically says "On December 22, 2008, at 10:40 PM ... The witness claims they often see these craft. Thanks to MUFON CMS"

Either they haven't actually checked the MUFON CMS, or have access to something we don't, were misled, or are lying. It's just about possible the sighting was filed incorrectly under somewhere other than Brazil, but given their still I'm sceptical. Particularly that they claim it was a still from the video ("This is one frame from the amazing video").

Edit: To reflect that I searched by date range.
