Dont you know that as he watched 9/11 unfold on TV it really hurt him?

He was so upset that he decided to trash Arabs until the day he died, I mean he could have enlisted in the Military but that would have been too hard.

Its so easy to be a coward.

Now, worm holes, alien invasions, etc etc in a holy book like the Koran is intriguing to say the least and a proper interpretation is required.

Some have contended as you have mentioned, that it probably means something else. Yes. It could. It could also mean wormholes and aliens!

While I agree that some things may be interpreted as wormholes and aliens, I have yet to see where did they saw anything about an "alien invasion".

Check out the OP where it talks about an invasion...

Someday these dams will break and Yagog and Magog will invade Earth from that planet and will wreak havoc on Earth again.

Cheers!

I wonder if there is anyone here who can interpret this part of the Koran? As someone had mentioned earlier, it ties up with some verses in the Bible too! Corroboration? So that makes it more credible!

Cheers!

I just wanted to add an information to this thread ; as a Muslim i have to say that the Quran can not be translated , in fact direct translation is forbidden , so what you will see anywhere on the web or any book is a translation of the explanation of the Quran and that is the only acceptable way of translating the Quran. so its only memorized by heart in the arabic language that's why it hasn't changed over the past centuries because we use it in our daily prayers.

now back to the subject

i really find this thread very interesting because of the way you brought it.

to tell you the truth i have always looked at this sura ( i don't know what you call it a verse or some thing else ) that was talking about Dhul-Qarnain and those Ya'jûj and Ma'jûj ( whom are called in Christianity Gog and Magog correct me if im wrong ) and i found it very interesting , but really never thought of it this way, simply because the arabic words has lots of meanings depending on the whole context.

but i will look again at also Al Maarej

nice post S&F

again sorry if my English is not so good cuz its not my first language

Well I'm always impressed with the amount of research and passion mike puts into his posts and while I do think it's highly possible that Mike just might be drinking too much coffee on this one, I thought the orignal post sounded slightly similar to this:

science.nasa.gov...

It's a magnetic portal and not a wormhole but interesting none the less and I feel fairly relevent to the discussion.

Mike you're espresso bar privledges are temporarily suspended

nice post

here's a thought all the people who "channel" E.T's and ask for "love" signals to be meditated...do you think a concentrated meditation will open the wormhole letting the swarms or legions of demons, aliens or whatever pour through?

this is pretty freaky

Revelation 20

"And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them."

The city referring to Jerusalem? or Rome?

Yep! That's the problem! Like the Taliban interpret Jihad as the will of God to kill all non believers, the Kafirs. Jihad actually means the fight against the evil within oneself. So which one is correct? You, being a Muslim, should know?

Although I was aware of that interpretation of jihad which, in my experience anyway, is the interpretation most Muslims use, I confess I myself am not a Muslim. I am merely a student of various faiths, belief systems, and cultures. I'm not an expert by any means but I know a thing or two.

Holy Mackerel! Magnetic portals described in the Koran? Now that's getting interesting!

Jeeez! I don't mind! Who the dickens is interested in coffee? Gimme beer instead! Budweiser usually sends me through a wormhole!!

Now I'm not saying that the Quran predicted magnetic portals...don't get me in trouble

I'm just saying that it is an interesting similarity.

Now if someone can describe the importance of magnetism in creating (theoretically) a wormhole...now that would be interesting.

Yes, I saw that, what I haven't seen is any thing like that on the Quran.

That site has "When he reached between the two dams (inside the Meraaj)", but instead of dams, either the Portuguese version (considered good enough by the relevant authorities) and the version from that link provided by karl 12 says "mountains", and they added the "(inside the Meraaj)" to make things work as they want.

Also, instead of "On that day (when that dam becomes waste) We [Allah] shall leave them (Humans and clan of Yagog & Magog) to flow like waves one into the other", my version and that link's version say "And on that day we shall let some of them surge against others, and the Trumpet will be blown."

I think that it is a distortion of what is written or even of what was meant, but, as I said, only someone that speaks the language can clear things up, although some people say I look like an Arab (maybe one day I will post my photo on the thread for member's photos, and you will see
) I am just a Portuguese atheist that does not know a thing of Arabic (only the words that are part of Portuguese and that came from the Arabs when they conquered the Iberian Peninsula).

This is an interesting post.

While I could say "Show me Gog and Megog?" - it would be as easier question to ask "Show me a worm hole?".

What it does raise for me is how much of the Koran or the old testament is truith and how much is allegory? I have no doubt that many of the major events from the old testament are based on truith but I'm not sure if the little stories intervwoven aren't there to show how people should behave.

Not so much of an expert on the Koran although I have argued with my Moslem friends the significance of Angel Gabriel. Taken on face value, the angel is a sort of Demi God - which is a level above people but below God. How many angels are these? Where do they come from? I've never asked the ET question of angels as they are ubiquitous in all religions - I thought signifying a want of man to fly /take control of all the land from above.

Interestingly angels all seem to be all male! Does ET have a male and female?

Now, you, Spider, Mike and Karl have got me frantically zipping through the Bible and the Koran, both side by side (eek!) and comparing passages. If only I weren't completely bald, this would be a perfect opportunity to spike my hair to go with my wild eyes

AAAAAaanyway... what you said.... the portals, the trumpets..... this seems somewhat as an analogue to Revelations.

As always, m'friend, I am struck by the similarities between the Koran, Bible and Talmud, rather than the differences. I think these ideas were passed by many cultures that overlapped.

Wouldn't it be absolutely WONderful if the clue and key to unlocking it all was hidden in all three? 'Course there would have to be other faith systems included. I think I spy a sci-fi story in the making.

its Hejooj and Mejooj, and there not out of this planet, they are found here on earth, but they are kept beyond a great wall, some say that this wall is the great wall of china and others say its a wall thats havent been discovered yet.

and the day they go pass this wall is the day life as we know it ends,"dooms day",but before such day comes their are several warning signs, known as minor and major signs, now the minor signs happened, there are still some major signs that havent happened yet.

I work with many Muslims and I talked about their believe in ETs and Ufos. They say every answer is in the Koran. In the Koran also is written the exact number of the five different atmospheric layers of Earth's atmosphere. That left me speechless

I also did the same for the next link that appeared and thats when I started doing it so I might be a little slow on posting what I did, but I'm just showing what I see in my hands.
