I know many feel wronged and have no sympathy for the "rich" and powerful who send money to oversees banks and tax havens.

But the underlying effect I see of this action is a precursor to a global finance system. First you eliminate places people can hid money then you consolidate power and rules to make it so that govt's can tax citizens more severely.

Why go after tax havens unless you plan on imposing more taxes? Sure you can get the back taxes but that I think is only the short term goal.

The article said it best, "Gerhard Roth, a managing partner at the Swiss law firm GHR, says the best weapon against tax evasion is lower taxes."

One step closer to a global socialist state.
