But I've heard longer. Off the top of my head any George Clinton Funkadelic albums (pre-Parliament) where each album side is typically one big ol' funky song...

I'm guessing Freak of the Week is about the longest song I've heard. Over 30 minutes. I used to DJ and had to go down 3 flights for a smoke, so I played it alot.

Now those are real songs. Of course, any packaged DJ mix is hours long. Chemical Brothers...crap like that. A whole concert is one song.

I'm just saying.

Dream theatre have a song over 40 minutes. It's called something rediculous like 'the 7 throngs of inner torment' or something hehehe.

They are all brilliant musicians but I hate the pretentious music they make.

Inagoddadevita.......17 mins I think. By the way, I have heard that it was supposed to be In The Garden Of Eden, but they were trippin on ACID when they first came up with the song and it came out like that so they kept it.

Also any Grateful Dead song from their concerts. They blend them all together...but that probably doesn't count.

There was this one sitar song that my guitar teacher made me listen to.

AFI's "but home is nowhere" it's like 16:00 long, but i think it's two songs

i think enagadadavida is pretty long too. like over 20 minutes

"Inagoddadivida"(sp?) for sure. That is one long damn song. But I dig it too, which makes it a pleasurable experience.

The longest song is actually unhearable by an individual. It has notes played with strategically placed silences, some years long, in between. It takes centuries to complete. Not joking.

Thank you! I made it myself in Bryce 3D. It was inspired partially by that really big Crop Circle a few years back.
