A Mystery Meteor- and an Alien too? Freaky! Video

Alright, surely someone has seen this here, so what's the scoop on this?

This starts out as your average hike with a video camera...But then...

Of course many will scream fake. I just dunno. Pretty crazy. 88 ratings and has 4 stars on Youtube, just fyi.

American, the art of conjuring and invention in video and photograph is at an all time high and only increasing. The use of grassroots presentation for viral marketing is at well. How can you not feel when you see this that you are at a confluence of these trends?

You will have to build high walls of fortification against invention if you are to ever find any truth.

I saw this a while ago, looks fakerific.
I'm fairly sure I saw it in a higher quality too, not that pixelated stuff you see in the OP.. Probably put down the quality to make it seem more amateur.
I'll give it a thumbs up for special effects, but realism gets a 1.. wouldn't something like that make more of a bang?

Was told Kyle Rankin(Scott) and Karen Zumsteg(Jennifer) are both acting in independent films just check IMDB and their on there.

Being that aliens have yet to show themselves and every video like this has come out at best inconclusive and mostly as hoaxes I would say the burden of proof is on *you* not I. Why is this real? Because it has some stars on youtube?
