The findings should be interesting.

When? Where? And how long?

From source:

According to NASA, the new mission will involve an unmanned spacecraft that is planned for an August 2011 launch onboard an Atlas rocket from Cape Canaveral, Fla. It is expected that the rocket will reach its destination, orbit around Jupiter, in 2016.

Once there, the plan is for the spacecraft to orbit Jupiter 32 times over the course of a year at a distance of around 3,000 miles above the planet's cloud tops.

That is so cool! I hope we find many interesting things about Jupiter! But I have to say...do you think NASA will have to go begging Congress for money for the mission like the banks and car makers?

Wouldn't be surprised. Funding has to come from somewhere. Lets hope Obama is just as interested in space as Dubya was.

Isnt it ironic that No Answer So Ahaha always puts "unmanned" in the mission description!

Well duh..what else is No Anomaly Seen Alright good for other than sending probes and going around in endless circles like a lost dog.

Lets see, something will go wrong with the best piece of gear, like the HD camera or the data link or the antenna or the computer or some other Now Another Silly Analysis excuse as this new probe approaches Jupiter, resorting to the backup, super low resolution camera, antenna, computer....as usual.

Of course none of that happens on any of those probes..they just say that for the public because YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH of whats really out there.

Cheers!!!!

Thats a very cynical view, although its sadly, mostly true. I think it would take a very dedicated (and rich) individual who hasn't been corrupted and who's sole purpose is to gain knowledge (for all).

Oprah anyone?
