As many of us believe, there seems to be an up trend in UFO sightings in recent years.

What appears to be without precedent is the level of seriousness with which the subject is treated on reputable news sources.

There is a conjecture running around that the change in reporting tone is a result of impending gradual disclosure of secrets that have been known for many decades, and that disclosure is imminent, within our lifetimes, perhaps within less than a decade.

While I can provide no proof of this conjecture, we can look at evidence that is piling up for evaluation, including reports earlier this year of secret UN meetings on the UFO subject and the disclosure on UFO files by many countries including France, England, Brazil, Mexico, etc.

Adding to this trend is the new CNN Space correspondent Miles O'Brien. He will be covering topics including life on other planets, the UFO hypothesis and alien visitation, including interviews with abductees... yes! on CNN!

this will give the masses an opportunity to look at evidence in a new light of open mindedness, perhaps spark enough curiosity to get most people in the same state of mind of may UFO enthusiasts of me, not a state of belief, but a state of curiosity and thirst for information.

Watch him next week.

There's always been a space correspondent. They cover the shuttle launches, the ISS, satellite issues, etc. They've had a space correspondent for ages. John Holliman did most of their space coverage until he was killed in 1998. Miles O'Brien took over after that.

Seems an obvious choice having been the Enterprise transporter chief and all.

Why not? Miles O'Brien has the background to get the job done right!

USS Rutledge tactical officer
USS Enterprise-D transporter chief
Deep Space Nine chief of operations
USS Defiant chief engineer
Starfleet Academy instructor

(Come ON, who WASNT thinking that?)

(Scooped by the post above! Starred, myfriend)
