The question: Why, why, why are we still sitting on our backsides watching secret agendas erode our liberties, wealth, cultures and health?

I've noticed a transition of attitude recently. Many of you will probably remember that a number of years ago, when confronting family, friends and colleagues with the facts about Government conspiracies you'd almost always be dismissed with a confident: "That's not true. Stop living in fantasy-land." But NOW, with the increasing transparency of these criminal masterminds, and more information about the reality of the fiscal system, wars, 9/11, fluoride etc, the response has changed. Now, when I confront friends or family with the information, I get this:

"That might be true, but I'd rather not know about it thank you very much. There's nothing we can do and you'll only depress yourself thinking about it."

Has anyone else noticed this?

I completely agree with you but I am also getting the "ok you are right so where do I sign up/what do I do?"

This has me stuck as this is the stumbling block for me.

I have many people on my side of the fence now but I am unsure what to do as so many laws prevent action.

"I guess ill have to sit tight until someone else does it"

Until I work out something thats my argument unfortunately.

I think my signature discribes, how I feel, best.

I not only feel alone, but also frustrated when I try and discuss these matters with family or friends!

Even when confronting them with proof, I am immediatly told I am guillible and if "real" specialists and MSM agree, it has to be the truth

When even those closest to you, deny the truth, one can only but feel completely helpless. When I cant even open their eyes to basic things, I realise I am in over my head and just wish I could be ignorant again.

I am shocked at how little people know and educate themselves and feel like I just wanna scream out of frustration.

Why attempt dumbing down the nation....they happily do it themselves!!

I feel like this battle is already lost and all that is left, is to sit back and watch....

Yes I have encountered it, in myself!

Even if any of these theories are true, there isnt anything I can do about it. I have succombed to the theory of "resistance is futile".

Im not scared of the knowledge in and of itself, but rather I see no utility in pursuing it any further... it would just be a waste of time if done for any reason other than the satiating of interest.

I think that when the crunch hits home and anarchy begins because it looks like that is what is on the cards.
If we look beyond the commercialism and let go of the rules and work together we might just have a chance but I fear its every man for himself and sadly this is exactly what "they" for what better of a word want.
It is funny how people argue against proofs etc with the very things you are trying to tell them they practice ie gullible etc.

I think that even the most hardcore bad ass, the most intelligent, the most open minded etc can do nothing because we were educated from textbooks, internet, television, books and magazines and these are all allowed. I dont think anything would be allowed that can give concrete proof etc in this society.

We are constantly bombarded by the media, radio, signs, advertisements and politicians on what we should be doing that we lack creativity to the extent that we arent even human beings anymore just programmed bots if you like.

We need some creativity as the last part of the puzzle is not something we will find, it has to be created I think.

Some really great points, but this imparticular I can really identify with:

I mean, it's one thing knowing in the back of your mind that most of the world is still asleep, and it's another knowing that your own family and friends are asleep, but it's downright bleakly depressing when those closest to you have thrown in the towel before the fight's even begun. You'd like to think that when people finally start paying some heed to the information you present them, that THAT'S the point that their inner fire is going to ignite and they're going to start fighting with you. The last thing you want to hear is that they believe you, but they don't intend to fight WITH you.

Sincerely agree with this. Now I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's the very reason I hardly sleep at nights, but given the information I've been reading, reaserching and absorbing over the last 4 years, it's definitely a symptom of it.

OK, most of us crave the truth in here, even if it often appears somewhat sketchy, but penultimately, we all desire to draw our own conclusions based on what we interpolate. With this is in mind, we then feel compelled to share this information, however factually proven, with our friends and family. Luckily for me, my fiance has an open-mind and considers the information I tell her with an impartial opinion. She does however confess that she doesn't need the worry in her daily life that there's essentially nothing we can do alone to change the grand scheme of events.

You only have to put yourself into in a social situation where you are presented with a relatively simple cross-section of people. Take a pub in UK for example; most 'issues' talked about are those opinions that transpire from Tabloid journalism and mainstream news channels. People are very alseep, although, ironically they claim to be otherwise since: ''It's on the news, the BBC wouldn't lie, that's absurd!'' (being a typical example).

As you all can appreciate, this list of 'issues' could go on, and on, and on.

I think deep down, I too wish I hadn't opened my own pandora's box by searching and interogating every piece of information (based almost entirely on topics ATS covers) for my own understanding.

I happen to think most of us on here have experienced our 'NEO' moment in believing that something just isn't right in the world, hence why we discuss it here and whatever happens, I must still work to live and prosper.

Ignorance (as one poster so rightly put it) in hindseight, is most definitely bliss.

PEACE

Nice thread! Thanks for referencing this thread in yours. Very honest of you. I'll hop on over and see what I can contribute.

YES! This is exactly the response i've had and each and every time i am just flabbergasted by it. Ignorance is bliss i suppose and sometimes i do think it would be easier to buy more cloths and forget it all. However i like to know whats going on, i like to try and find the truth and so i always come back to researching the subject.

I've experienced it more than you can imagine.

Coworkers, friends, family, and even fellow Christians.

The one that gets me upset the most is when I talk about 9-11 and someone says:

"Bush isn't smart enough to Mastermind 9-11"

if you ever hear a reply like this... don't waist your time trying to inform them.

I had a similar discussion a few days ago with a colleague of mine after a bus of clearly challenged individuals passed us by. It spurred on the question: Who is better off, the person who knows what is going on and lives with the fear and loathing of what the future has to bring, or the person who, for whatever reason, goes through life blissfully not worrying about their next meal let alone what's coming down the road?.

Ultimately we agreed that while strapping on the hockey helmet, being led to the short bus daily having a guaranteed three squares and a roof over our heads would render everything sane, it would also leave bland a life that is supposed to be full of things both good and bad.

Is it okay to exist or is it paramount to live?

Yes, we all strive for that sense of peace in a soft landing space, but in reality that isn't how it goes as simply existing we would soon be divided into Jules Verns' Eloi and Morlocks . . .

That, as they say, would not be a good thing.

Or the third option: to pretend that 'existing' is 'living'. I think this is most common. No-one will accept that they're falling short of potential. They'd prefer to convince themselves that by ignoring the vital issues, they're actually enabling themselves to live fully. Obviously, we know different.

Well it's not like the people in the 60's didn't realize what they really were protesting, those who have the money. It wasn't obvious cause it was seen as a anti-war movement, as opposed to anti-establishment. But soon they realized that they'll have to become part of the system if they were to survive in the world.

i have only been a member for a few weeks but i have seen almost 98 hours of theories . this is where good people can get together and start a think tank on what to do now that the truth is being accepted around the world. i am an australian mother of four with 3 grandchildren and i am not going to sit here and just read about it until it is too late 3 years agoi begun making arrangements to remove myself from the system we all call BIG BROTHER and i believe that it will start with the banks . i have always known that something was afoot when my father told me that the world was run by 6 different families and that nomatter what i did i will always be owned by them as they controlled everything. and this was 35 years ago. if he knew then what have we all been asleep to.... then it must be huge by now.... act soon....start a think tank!!!!!!
there are always good people who know the truth but fear addmitting it.

I was never allowed to be blissful in ignorance, this stuff was forced into my life, just to survive.

So breaking the spell of ignorance, helped me understand, what happened to my life, so ignorance is not always blissful.

My life and others shows that waking upto this info, can save you, and take some of the power others have over your life away.

This problem is destroying me. How to get through to the ones you love that refuse to even consider the information.
I feel as if the whole world will in the last moment become Alec Guinness in Bridge on the River Kwai all saying in unison "what have I done".?

I am shocked by how many people actually have an idea of what is going on but feel defeated.

I am glad I read this thread to say the least.

Seeing so many disheartened has given me a need to solve this with a little help of course.

Im no mathematics genius but I am hoping that Answer - Ignorance = Sanity!

That is why I made that thread.

Cheers!

The OP's thread made me post this thread here www.abovetopsecret.com...

All of you can help and this is becoming a long topic but make sure you understand what I am doing before you post. (I know you will though)

I am not trying to steal the OP's thunder but I feel a need to solve this because if we do not then I fear a lot of people are going to feel dreadful. Sometimes "I told you so" just does not do it justice after the event.

I wouldnt have posted this if I did not read this topic and I am surpirsed it has not been flagged as it is a feeling many have.

I am trying an approach to this topic that should solve it once and for all.
