Where's the dough???

Kind of interesting on a number of fronts . . . $30 a person for 375 people just in Indianapolis alone. That's over $11 grand. Nice to see it going to the average person rather than some ad agency.

What is a bit disconcerting, though . . . prepaid VISA cards??????

What's up with THAT?

I was posting this too, you beat me Missy

Also a report on the Indy Channel

Looks like even the unpaid/underpaid workers don't have much faith that they will get their full pay

This may be a stretch, but I'm looking at the whole VISA thing as . . . use the card, give up some information, VISA sends 'you're approved' letter and credit card . . . worker buys stuff . . . at some point VISA makes money on the interest.

A corporate link to a campaign from a sector fraught with a litany of questionable practices . . .

Apart from the obvious . . . thank's sucker, but that's all you get angle, that's what caught my eye

"Don't worry, check's in the mail" wow
.

While I don't hold Obama himself personally for this SNAFU, the local managers there should be taken to task over this. These people gave their valuable time for a cause they believed in and then to be shortchanged this way is a disgrace.

Just as with most other polictical things once the people have served their purpose they get thrown away no matter if it's republican or democrat.

I feel sorry for these people.

No big deal. Obama is just spreading their wealth.

Its probably just an honest mix up and will be taken care of shortly.

Really, shame they didn't get their $30 and all.

But shouldn't their pay come from knowing they won, and efforts on making this man president, was a job well done?

Surely they can take their payment in the terms that they accomplished their hopes and dreams?

These people want to get paid????

How selfish!

I wonder if Obama will just tell them that he redistriubuted their earnings?

Exactly my thoughts! In his victory speech Obama even told his followers that they were going to have to make sacrifices.

Guess what? Looks like it's already started.

These workers should have held out for cigarettes or the soon to be released Obama Scrip Currency. It has no value but it looks cool.

Wow, this is sad. In this crappy economy, and with Obama's apparent appeal, you know he had no problem getting the volunteers. They did their jobs, and they were supposed to be paid.

I don't think prepaid Visa's are a proper way to be paid, cold hard cash would have been better. As stated, with a Visa, you have to give up personal information. That makes me uneasy right there!

This story needs to have national play, this is not right.

It is a shame that it never will. Why wreck a good news story so early . . . after all, it is not the job of the MSM to keep the masses focused on the shiny beads sold to them by the hucksters who are hightailing it out of town in their Beemers?
