It is still not clear as to what has happened, this just happened 2 hours ago in Chatsworth California.
Apparently a freight train and a metrolink commuter train crashed 3 confirmed dead and at least 26 other passengers were injured. Fire broke out underone of the trains and firefighters were on the scene to put out the blaze.

Unofficial reports so far have 230 injured, 20 confirmed dead, though some news reports vary.

As of now they are still recovering passengers from the wreckage.

Just 3 dead?

Wow, that's pretty lucky considering.

I hope that's all, that they don't find any more dead.

Looks to be just the one line, which means it couldn't have been a switch accident. This is definitely an accident caused by lack of communication.

My God I cannot believe it, this is a worst case scenario for the passengers and the emergency responders. Thank you for the update my links are limited at best, just wanted this story to be out, we do have many members in the L.A. area and some may even use the metro to commute, my prayers are with all involved.

I have seen nothing yet on the stations I am watching, its all the devastating hurricane info.

Again thank you, this why we make the best team on the net

At least 10 dead, dozens and dozens injured. People still trapped on train.
Train started at Union Station in downtown L.A.
A horrific tragedy, this is going to be a very long night for the rescue workers.
Still no definite word on whether it is human err or computer.
