What is going on here ? I posted a reply to the OP as well as another person and both the posts have disappeared off the thread

chaff and flare released by millitary aircraft. I even think some civilian aircraft are using these. You can google angelfire or chaff and flare to see what it looks like being deployed in flight. Once the plane releases the flares they float untill they burn out. The idea is to confuse heat seeking incoming fire. I usually don't worry about lights just haning out in the sky untill they move. Then they deserve attention IMHO.

network dude is right, and yes there a rumors of civilian aircraft having a similar chaff system installed nowadays in light of the "terrorism" concerns. I know i have seen a Dassualt Falcon let loose back home with chaff

Thanks for the replies,although flares are a seemingly obvious explanation these luminous objects do not seem to be falling to the ground.
It may of course just be the camera perspective but the ´flares´ do not appear to be subject to the laws of gravity (similar objects have been filmed over Mexico city which appear not to move).
Of course I may be very wrong but thanks for the input anyway.
