(IsraelNN.com) American law enforcement authorities have arrested four people suspected of plotting to kill Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama at the Democratic national convention underway in Denver, Colorado. The men planned "to shoot Obama from a high vantage point using ... a rifle ... sighted at 750 yards," one of the suspects reportedly told police.

They reportedly planned to kill Sen. Obama, on Thursday, when he officially will accept the nomination after all his opponents have dropped out of the race.

Police say they arrested one man on Sunday after they found two high-powered rifles in his rented pick-up truck, and a second man allegedly wore a swastika. "We're aware of the matter discussed tonight by the Aurora Police Department," federal attorney Troy Eid told the local the Rocky Mountain News daily.

Police in the US say there is "insufficient evidence" to charge three men who were allegedly planning to assassinate Barack Obama.

The men were arrested in Denver, Colorado, in connection with drugs and weapons offences.

Sky News political editor Adam Boulton, in Denver, said one of the group is reported to have made comments alerting police to a potential assassination plot against the leader of the Democrats.

But speaking at a press conference, police said the men were drug addicts.

They said they were keeping an open mind about the investigation.

US Attorney Troy Eid said: "There is insufficient evidence that there was any kind of a plot or a threat but we'll keep an open mind as we look.

Tharin Gartrell, 28, was arrested following a traffic stop for erratic driving early on Sunday by police in the eastern Denver suburb of Aurora.

In his truck was a bullet-proof vest, two rifles, ammunition, walkie-talkies and drugs.

Police alerted federal authorities, who used additional information to arrest Nathan Johnson, 32, in Aurora.

A third man, Shawn Robert Adolf, 33, was arrested at an Aurora hotel.

Police said that when they knocked on the door of the hotel room, he jumped out of a sixth-floor window, landed on an awning and ran off.

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton is preparing to address the Democratic Convention.

I do not know if there is any truth behind the story. But let's assume that Obama wins the election (which I highly doubt) and gets into office. Now we have to keep in mind, that B.O just chose J.Biden as his running mate, and this means he'll end up as a vice president. So who's gonna have authority when the president gets assasinated (or dies other way)? Vice president? Well, now we have to keep in mind that Biden is pro-zionist (and zionist according to his own words). There would be some gain for Israel in this perspective.

But once again, I do not know if there is any truth in this story.

It's more than likely nonsense. These guys are driving a pick-up with ammo, rifles and knives, high on amphetamine. They then talk about killing a Presidential candidate whilst in a Democrat convention I think the Israelis would've chosen a beter class of assassin.
