GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) -- Mideast envoy Tony Blair will visit the Gaza Strip this week, a Hamas spokesman said Monday, the former British prime minister's first trip to the coastal territory since Hamas seized control violently a year ago.

Blair is expected to meet traders and inspect a northern Gaza wastewater project being built with international funds, said Palestinian businessmen and officials familiar with his trip. They spoke on condition of anonymity because the visit has not been officially announced.

There is no word if Blair will break with the US and meet Hamas, but a spokesmen has said the Hamas government are to make security escorts and ensure his safety in the city. Israel has refused to comment, but it is rumoured he will meet with Hamas.

A major step in the peace process.

Good on the Sir.

Would it be "cruel of me to smile" if he never came back?

LMAO. Nice one.

I'm quite suprised Blair of all people is going to Hamas territory. Perhaps he is going to reinvent himself as a man of peace.

Perhaps he's gone to try and convert them all to Catholicism? Keep them distracted while Netanyahu jumps over the gate and shoves a keyring nuke up Hamas's tits.

Simply slap the word "peace" in front of something and you'll have 98% of the world's population supporting it instantly.

The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict is one of the very few remaining that the global elite do not have control over. They have full control over Israel, but they do not control the Palestinians.

Peace talks to ease this conflict are nothing more than an attempt to compromise, control and suppress the Palestinians' bargaining power and ability to fight. Their power and future is to be put in the hands of the Zionists, who have long been bought and sided with the global elite agenda.

The Palestinians have no official borders, which means no official government, which means no consolidated control by means of a rigged election winner. They are not under the control of those who rule most of this planet. They are some of the very limited few remaining that are not under that control.

Unlike BS peace talks in the past for different nations in different situations, these peace talks are genuine. "They" need them to control the area.

I do not want the conflict to continue, but it is set it up, intentionally, so that the only other alternative is to forfeit control over the area and its people to a very powerful few. They would prefer peace agreements, but do not mind the bloodshed and depopulation either. It is win-win for them, as always, and lose-lose for the people, as always.

According to the BBC, Blair has cancelled his visit to Gaza due to a "specific security threat".

Seems like you were somewhat prophetic, Cadbury

Shame he cancelled his visit, his demise would be a fitting end for the war criminal that he is.

Heh.

Well, well, well. Look at that. Knowing my luck they'll probably name me as the security threat now.

(Hello 5. Hello 6.)

I wave.
