Sydney - Australian police said on Wednesday they had infiltrated a network of international paedophiles, culminating in raids and arrests in Australia, the United States, Germany and Britain.

Operation Achilles, which was co-ordinated by the FBI in the United States, began in January 2006 and ended on February 29, 2008, with police staging raids around the world.

Australian police said the international covert operation uncovered 2 500 "customers" in 19 countries and thousands of computers, videos and photographs were seized. In a large number of cases, more than a million files and pictures were found.

More than 40 children were rescued from sexually abusive situations and 22 members of the paedophile network were arrested.

It is past the time for this to becomes a major offensive. Thank you to Australian police for leading this charge.

I love hearing stories like that. with all the legal age people willing to do what ever why would any body get off on children. it makes no sense. glad they caught the freaks.

Cudo's to all parties involved in the raids. Now lets hope those charges stick, and those involved actually get heavy and harsh sentences, and not some slap on the wrist.

Wow this is great to hear! Hopefully if it keeps up, children won't be kidnapped by some person that lures them with whatever the child desires. Great to see that people are stepping it up and doing something like this.

yes it is great news, but as I read this I think, oh gee not another group of paedophiles.

Seems as one group is raided, another starts up.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if paedophilia wasn't an issue in society anymore!

Kudos to the police for the nab though... get them off the streets and behind bars.

2,500 down, untold millions to go. We are never going to stop this through conventional law enforcement.

Have they discovered a "pedophile gene?"

But if they did then that would be proof that it isn't their fault they're pervs and we'd all have to put them in rehab and show them the same tolerance we show drug addicts.

You mean to tell me that Pedophiles actually banded together, and formed a freaking network?

I used to track these scum back in the old days of IRC through Telnet... used to help the RCMP out by giving them the chat logs, and the user information.
But never had I seen a case of them forming their own network hidden away from others!

They really have got to be cracked down on.

Even if you are born with sexual urges toward children... control them! You are supposed to be a HUMAN.

I can control my urges toward hot women! I know that I could live my entire life not pursuing women if I had to...

It is good they capture these people. But they need to look for the one's. That take pictures of these childreds and load them on their computer.
Just arresting the pedophiles is not stoping the one's that take and load the pictures in the first place. When they find the main sex infenders. Then I would say alright, they finally caught them.

Oh man. I have read plenty of reports where individuals in Australia claimed to have been part of satanic ritual abuse of children etc.

They were kids and they were lead into 'parties' where political figures and celebrities wore masks... naked. Then ... well, I don't want to say what they did to the kids. Sex and murder were common routine that the kids had to witness.

When the kids came out as adults, nobody would help them. All the people involved in the satanic sex rings were such 'high status' in Australian society that the reports were considered crazy.

This is happening in America. Alot. The exact same situation.

Until 'they' start uncovering REAL sex rings, and start trying the REAL evil scumbags who run the show, I'll never feel better about this situation. The evil satanist scumbags who run the world are still murdering and raping plenty of children: you can be sure of that. And no, they aren't going to be caught by their own employees. Sickening.

Great to hear this kind of news! (its good to know normal people are out there really working to catch this evil ultimate trash kind of people) I just wish the powers that be in the USA would make the punisment so horrible for this kind of crime (if proven beyond doubt that ped crime was indeed committed) that the the cowardly peds would thin -out. The ones currently caught, after trail and if found guilty, should all be put in a giant pit with boiling oil slowly dripping on them and then left there until dead.

Oh my goodness...Are you serious? Were these political figures ever tried? Condemned, given the death penalty or aything for the crimes they have done? That is just awful to read and more so to actually witness those acts. I hope those acts didn't go unpunished..

No, of course not. These were once children who witnessed the 'rituals' (really, living nightmares called 'parties').

As children, society automatically condemns them as being full of imagination etc... and because the people involved are almost always high-status figures, we have society working AGAINST justice. People are trained to worship and revere celebrities and politicians... hence, countless cases have been thrown out.

I really believe that such stories as this are just the government throwing a bone to the public. "Here, look, we 'caught' these people buying our slaves... I mean.... buying 'sex ring' slaves. Now shutup and stop demanding further investigations."

Just look at how certain "GIANT" religious institutions conceal this sort of behavior, with sending offenders off to some distant out-post or trying to "pay-off" the victims. I tell ya, what you have to do, is make the punishment so terrible ,that it "thins 'em out, at the very least", or maybe an elected panel of folks ,that dish out lengthy sentences (like a UN panel that can judge world wide) per offense. You have to take it to them.. fight it like a major war. Make them go deeper and deeper. Then bury them.

The people running the show are the truly sick ones. They pass the laws and mold the culture so that the average person is not to do the things that the elite are welcome to do. Sure bust a low-level crime ring once in a while to keep the sheep thinking that law enforcement is at work. It is at work, against everyone but those in power. It is beyond a double-standard, a set of rules for each class. Yeah it is good that at least some children wont have to go through that experience because of this operation. But until the real criminals running the show are brought in, smaller crime rings will continue to exist because the example is set for them by the big dogs in power.
