Ha Ha Ha Ha LMAO

While this thread has fantastic potential, I think the OP has been circumspect on tangible details.

Heard there are two types of immortals...
Ageless (like Highlander) and pure immortal.
If had a choice.
Rather be ageless then immortal.

Why?

Heard a story there was once a man who wanted immortally.

So one of the gods dropped on by and granted him his wish..

Boom! He got it. Expect forgot one minor detail...

Forgot to ask for his body to stop aging.

So as the years, decades, centuries pass.... he got older, but couldn't die.

Scary huh?

It's possible but I have seen no compelling evidence of immortality. It is the one fruit mankind has always strived to obtain. I tend to believe in reincarnation though and that is how I would like to believe we maintain a semblance of immortality.

Peter Carroll's Liber Null (one of the founders of the Illuminates of Thanateros and one of the more prolific chaos magicians) has an interesting final passage on the Three Rites which supposedly facilitate the continuation of consciousness in other bodies after death.

The White Rite involves at the moment of death intense visualization of a sigil and finding a random fetus to inhabit as one's spirit leaves the body.

The Red Rite (from a male perspective) involves finding a strong woman as one starts to die to consort with and love. She is impregnated and the dying magus becomes the spirit of the unborn child.

The Black Rite (the most interesting) involves the forceful taking over of the body of someone living. This was one mentioned as being dangerous, unreliable, and leaves the memories of the possessee intact for the possessor. Not much more is said about this.

The last one if particularly intriguing to me as it deals with an area ithat I tend to really like involving transformation and body transfer magick. I have heard stories of temporary soul transference where people switch very briefly after OBEs and much concentration, but not much beyond that, though there is some extant literature on it.

Not sure about immortality per se, but there are other ways to accomplish the same thing in practice.

I'm going slightly off topic here, but I still say (not completely in jest I might add) that the Count of St. Germain is Kevin Pollak

i swore i would never do this...
But it has to be said....
Why in god's green earth are you trying to sell ats member's your book?
Is it ok to make thread's on ATS to sell and hype up your agenda?
Which is 1 capitalism..
You want our money correct?
If not send me a free book then?...Figured as much.

My point is if ATS is gonna be nothing but a gateway for people to try and sell there book's by posting a 3 paragraph thread started..and a link to buy his book...
I don't want no part of ats anymore.

It's a good topic, but the book selling thing is underhanded, I agree.

It's the same thing I experience with a lot of New Age mumbo jumbo, people trying to make money off of others through the wonderful capitalist system. It really strikes me as dirty when people try to make money off of people's philosophies or belief systems through peddling trash.

Ben, I have spent the past hour reading through this thread and have found it quite interesting. I do believe in the possible existance of immortals, through a variety of different life experiences. I would like to know, since 2008 what your progress is with this individual, without redirecting us to your website to purchase a book.

I believe they're are definitely immortals living among us. I believe for most of them, the state of their being is more of a curse than a gift. Perhaps, having the wisdom of all this time, they have accepted their state and found peace. I do not believe, on the most part, this is something they can share with us. (Us being 'physical humans'.) My question to any one of them willing to provide the answer is the question I started asking when I was a nine year old young girl..."What is the truth of it all" I know this sounds basic, and I feel I have found my own peace regarding this bigger than life itself question, but there are still some holes I would love to fill in. Jesus was resurrected physically, not only spiritually. I think there is so much more in this example than we are grasping. Help to shine the light on this puzzle, if you would. The bottom line for me is that people have forgotten or lost sight of community and their own light. We are all 'gods' in our own way. We each have a gift unique to only us and I believe with my whole heart that if each and every one of us would come together united and hold hands in love, we would instantly and literally transform this physical earth into heaven. To all..."Believe and don't be afraid to love!!" Our job while here on this physical plane...be ourselves-completely.

This thread is very intriguing. Eventually I will finish reading it all and let you know what I think about your supposed immortal.

I agree with you and connect with what you are saying
I as well questioned reality and who i really was and why i was alive and i felt deeply that our known reality, was not real at all, at a very very young age. As well I lived in a space more inbetween worlds or realities, than anyone i have ever met or heard of, so my life experience has been different than other peoples or what is 'normal'. I myself have a strong need to connect to others like me and I rarely find them, for immortals, I can imagine there is a sense of loneliness, but i think it is a great gift to be able to never fear time or death. I do not fear death but I do fear not accomplishing whatever i set out to, in this life, and be and experience the best and most I can, in this life. I know reincarnation is real, so I feel no great panic, but everything that is alive changes constantly and every chance and beauty and opportunity and connection, is one time only. Unless you can travel dimensions with great ease, alternate realities, I do that in dreams. I would really love someone to talk to who understands this, and even more so, someone who could share with me more, teach me. I've met some special people in my life but no one who is really like me, or could be some sort of guidance, but I know you are out there so I hope you will find me and connect with me

Can you really assume that someone is immortal, purely based on the fact that he can deacribe two thousand years of history to you? Many people could do exactly that. It doesn't mean they're immortal.

By any chance is the person you are talking about the Count of St. Germain? He seems to be found every couple of centuries.

He was supposedly at the wedding where Christ turned water into wine.

I find this interesting because I at one time was in contact with a person who claimed to be his neice. She said there is some sort of family curse in relation to all of this, and she is in contact constantly with a dark entity.

Legend tells that he never eats a meal in public, but retains his relatively young looks, for being thousands of years old.

If this is not who you mean, wi

Edit to add:

Also about this neice. She died suddenly this past year. She was instructed by the dark entity to give psychic readings to people and explained to everyone that the messages were coming from a dark entity. She said that if she even missed one day of readings, she would be struck ill, by way of intense headaches.

She had gone to Italy, not sure why. She was found dead in the hotel room with the doors locked from the inside. No entry through a window as she was several stories up. She was found looking as though she was in peaceful sleep. Not a mark on her body, however, it was found that every single bone in her body was crushed on the inside, yet there was not a bruise to be found. She was 28 years old.

If your contact is St. Germain, would you ask if he knows the story behind this? Her name was Veronica.

Thanks

Now that its been brought to my attention, I would like to know this as well. All these things I've read about immortality make me really wonder it it truly exists, or if its just something everyone dreams of.
