Great find. She was definitely shot. It was possible that a head strike on the steel handle could have caused damage, but wow...it looks like 2 shots hit her. I do find it interesting though that the shooter was not the suicide bomber. Was that the insurance policy if the guy backed out or if they were afraid he would talk if arrested? I wonder if the shooter knew the bomber was even there?

With so many people trying to tow the official "she banged her head" jargon must really look stupid now.

Yeah - the current administration looks stupid now. This is the equivalent of the Zapruder film. Do you think the shooter knew the bomber was behind him? It would have been easier to give him a gun and explosives.

I love how the media is portraying that she hit her head on the sunroof. EVEN if she did hit her head on the sunroof SHE WAS STILL ASSASSINATED BECAUSE SHE WAS TRYING TO DUCK FROM THE PERSON SHOOTING AT HER!!!!!!! How stupid do they think we are!!!!

Perhaps not. These guys are compartmentalized to a tee and one hand may have no idea what the other is doing for security.

The bomb may have also been intended as a decoy and the shooter either had a lear shot and went for it, or jumped a gun a bit so to speak.

Again Wow. That makes you think if the explosives were a diversion or if it went off early. Al-Qaeda has a history of placing secondary explosives to take out emergency response workers to delay the help getting to the primary target.

Even though they are compartmentalized, to have them within feet of each other would be highly unlikely unless the bomber had a picture of the shooter and his mission was to take him out after the shooting. With so many people at the rally I just have to believe that the bomber was targeting the shooter.

I would venture to guess the bomber was sent to take out the shooter.

No shooter, no link back to the government.

Maybe this was a hit by the government in conjunction with Al CIAda?

Wouldn't be the only regime using AQ as a scapegoat...

This whole situation stinks like maybe Musharraf is behind the assassination.

Or a false flag to make it look that way. Musharraf has alot to lose in this, moreso than he would have gained IMHO. Bhutto was no angel mind you and her trail of corruption was pretty long.

I have and still lean towards the Pakistani Secret Service. That have CLOSE ties to insurgents (goes back to the Soviet invasion of Afganistan)

Fred T and others : Would you consider that maybe it was someone or a group from Iran? It would be a great false flag. Cheney would finally get his war. They have alot to gain with it by keeping Pakistan a Militant Islamic state - and maybe access to a few nukes.

The conflicting reports of how she actually died?

First it was "she was shot."

Then the "official" government position that she "bumped her head?"

Now we can see that she was indeed shot, hit at least two times.

Yet in the other video we can hear at least five shots?

And now the government is offering to exhume the body if the family requests it to be done weighed against the husband's initial request that no autopsy be performed?

Little bit out there but what if it was two separate attempts? One sent a bomber, the other sent a gunman....

I would guess against the son since he is staying in school for now. Her husband is taking control of the party. He has a pretty long laundry list of accusations against him.

Bhutto was marked for wastage years ago. Her returning to her homeland Pakistan make it all the more convenient.

As for the earlier claim of responsiblility by Al Quaeda...I do not buy it.

Perhaps, but I doubt it. Even if the extremist get control of Pakistan, The Iranians are unlikely to get a warm reception from them. its that old Sunni versus Shiite issue and while they may have the same overall goal that would prevent any real cooperation. They would be replacing a iffy US ally with a Islamic government but of a different sec. I know the differences may seem trical to us, but for sume they have been the subject of wars for ages.

I agree the PR and spin on this from Musharrif have been abysmal. But he is used to doing and getting whatever he wants in his country so its not that surprising. Its that old rush to justice by his people that is casting that light.

I do not buy the official explanation either, but it it is so bogus, so inept, so ham handed that they would have to be utterly stupid to think anybody is buying it. Perhaps this was intended all along, knowing they would react int his fashion and look even more culpable.

I think they need to exhume her body and get the offical autopsy account done by say the UN. It is suspicious that the husband wanted no autopsy
