Im pretty sure thats just a species of sunfish. I think the title was a joke because, it looks like a sunfish but not exactly, so it must be a moonfish!

It's an ocean sunfish. Weird, but not an alien

Weird! You think if this was real it would be all over the news...we'll see if there is a special on it here in the future...like the "Giant Squid"

Yes, a sunfish it is. He probably thinks we're as ugly as we think him.

They had one in an aquarium here in Denmark, but unfortunately, a large part of the aquarium burned down ~2 years ago, and the fish died a few days after, because of the water being heated up..

The species sometimes come together in large groups, looks very alien.

We could just all agree not to post in the thread anymore so it falls to the back pages. That would do the same as deleting it.

Who agrees with me? should we stop posting in this thread?

OK just kidding, Any search for knowledge is admirable, its a good thread

Yes that is a sun fish but not ugly.

I am offended that anyone would call him ugly. He is one of God's creatures. See, God does have a sense of humor.

He is a bit different than what I normally catch and MM no he is not usually eaten ( good for him ).

Yeah don't worry. Never hurts to ask. I've never seen that fish before either. Looks freaky.
