Found this while surfing, can't say that I have any good guesses as to what this creature might be!

It was supposedly photo'd in Seattle, kinda looks like a naked mole rat.

Looks like it has the mange. Looks kinda like a hairless mouse looking creature, hind legs look a little long. Does kinda got a hippo head. I would say the name fits the animal perfect. Im sure its some freaky pet bought from a pet store.

Yes I agree looks like a naked more rat to me as well. Here is a link to some other from the naked mole rat family. This is one ugly rodent!

Well I like the Mange reference except I would go for a Squirrel with a Bad case of mange, poor thing it's gonna get mighty cold in the winter.

Without a good look at the head, I would have to think that this is a immundeficient laboratory animal. Either a mouse, rat, or guinea pig. These animals don't produce T-cells and they don't have a active immune system. And most are hairless

I think the black growths on the animal are small infections, that should eventually keep growing until the animal dies.

Looks like a Hippopotenuse.
Strange creatures that travel on the opposite side to right angles.
