North Korea Says its Nuclear Reactor is Now Shut Down

North Korea told the United States yesterday that it had shut down its nuclear reactor at Yongbyon and readmitted a permanent international inspection team, completing its first step toward reversing a four-year-long confrontation with the United States during which the North has made fuel for a small but potent arsenal of nuclear weapons.

Hopefully this time it's for good, but that regime is so unpredictable it's hard to believe there won't be at least a few more bumps in the road until the plant is permanently disabled.

They stopped the reactor because Russia struck them a deal.

Not because they cared about what the US thought.

Got to love how American media is so full of themselves.

I also saw this on the news, they are to get more oil and was already receiving the first shipments from it.

I tell you what if NK has not learned by now how to compete and how to be ahead is because their government being a hard head.

All they have to do is start inundating the market with their goods and start working to become an economic power like China and when they start making money just start buying American debt and invest in American economy.

That is how they can hold the bull by the horns just like China is doing.

No need for them to be running the nuclear reactor when they've already got an arsenal of secret nukes built and stashed away somewhere now
