Doctors at heart of UK terror probe

(CNN) -- Doctors taking the modern Hippocratic oath swear to "abstain from whatever is harmful or mischievous," but the investigation into plots to bomb targets in Britain suggests a group of medics may have ignored that vow.

None has been charged -- only detained, questioned or sought -- but British and Australian media are reporting it is no coincidence that six of those detained or questioned so far in the probe share the same profession.

According to this and other sources, as many as a dozen doctors may be involved in the planning and implementation of terrorist attacks, including Glascow. Apparently even something as important as the hippocratic oath is not sacred to these people, when compared to their promise to Allah to carry out jihad.

This fortifies my long held belief that no one can tell what another human being will do at any particular time or place; you can not depend on their scruples or moral obligations because you never really know if those scruples and/or morals really mean anything to them at all.
