5 US soldiers killed in Iraq, 3 missing.

Five US soldiers have been killed and three more reported missing near the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
The troops died during an attack south of the city, military sources said.

US soldiers on patrol in Baghdad"This morning at 4.44am in Iraq, a coalition force team of eight soldiers - seven Americans and an Iraqi army interpreter - were attacked 12 miles west of Mahmudiyah," said spokesman Major General William Caldwell.

"As a result of this attack, five soldiers were killed in action and three are currently missing."

News networks are saying that they are feared kidnapped, although they do not give any reasons for this, just that they are missing.

Lets hope they are found asap.

yeah, that's right. I would hate to be the guy that gives the bad news to the families. That has to be one of the worst jobs you could have.

IMO unless the missing soldiers are accounted for very soon the chances of finding them alive are very slim. The insurgents aren't known for there humane treatment of prisoners or for keeping prisoners alive.
