Breaking News - Shots fired/children taken hostage in Germany.

Breaking News on Sky at the moment, a gunman had taken children hostage at a school in Meunster, Germany.

Very few details at present, but they are reporting that shotshave been fired.

Hopefully they will sort this one out peacefully with no harm to the children.

News is now saying one person had died, no mention of whether it's a child or the gunman though.

Does anyone know if Germany has a decent hostage rescue unit or do they just throw it straight to GSG9 if the police get no luck with negotiations?

I've seen GSG9 take a house and two cop killers in Germany, they can seriously spoil your day if they take over!

Gunman was a former student apparently. At least it ended better than many others have.

I posted a topic about this but the moderator didn't read it properly and assumed that I was reporting on the shooting, when I was really asking why no Australian news media are reporting on the incident.
