First I would like to express my reverence and respect for those who are currently suffering from clinical psychosis and remain in a state of denial. I respect their position and their reluctance to believe we are being visited. Having said that I can not logically look at your credentials and measure them up against the credentials of the following members of humanity and choose to think we are not being visited by galactic neighbors.

This thread will probably be a long read. I will continue to research quotes from prominent and credible members of society, and add them to this thread. I am sure that some quotes may appear to be refutable, but I assure you I am not posting any quotes that I could not find some level of credibility to.

I will begin by presenting supporting links for the information I offer.

I will then simply list direct quotes of our society’s most credible witnesses, to include astronauts, and in later posts in this thread world leaders and other prominent people who held or hold positions of those whom we should safely assume would be “in the know”.

After the direct quotes, where I could, I offered a better context of the meaning behind the quotes.

I will eagerly await any quotes that ATS companions can submit. I will not debate the exact meaning of the words, the context of the statements, or what may or may not have been really meant. I am not one who makes a habit of speaking for other people.

On May 11, 1962 NASA pilot Joseph Walker said that one of his tasks was to detect UFOs during his X-15 flights. He had filmed five or six UFOs during his record breaking fifty-mile-high flight in April, 1962. It was the second time he had filmed UFOs in flight. During a lecture at the Second National Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Space Research in Seattle, Washington he said:

In 1957, Cooper was one of an elite band of test pilots at Edwards Air Force Base in California, in charge of several advanced projects, including the installation of a precision landing system.

"I had a camera crew filming the installation when they spotted a saucer. They filmed it as it flew overhead, then hovered, extended three legs as landing gear, and slowly came down to land on a dry lake bed!

"These guys were all pro cameramen, so the picture quality was very good.

When we were coming about 30 or 40 feet out, there were a lot of objects - white things - flying by. It looked as if they were being propelled or ejected, but I'm not convinced of that. Apollo 11, with Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin Aldrin was the first Apollo flight to land on the Moon, on July 20, 1969. While Collins flew in orbit around the Moon in the command module, Armstrong and Aldrin descended in the lunar module, landing in the Sea of Tranquillity at 4:17 P.M.
According to hitherto un-confirmed reports, both Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin saw UFOs shortly after that historic landing on the Moon in Apollo 11 on 21 July 1969. I remember hearing one of the astronauts refer to a "light" in or on a crater during the television transmission, followed by a request from mission control for further information. Nothing more was heard.
The following astonishing conversation was picked up by ham radio operators that had their own VHF receiving facilities that bypassed NASA's broadcasting outlets. At this time, the live television broadcast was interrupted for two minutes due to a supposed "overheated camera", but the transmission below was received loud and clear by hundreds of ham radio operators:
According to Otto Binder, who was a member of the NASA space team, when the two moon-walkers, Aldrin and Armstrong were making their rounds some distance from the LEM, Armstrong clutched Aldrin's arm excitedly and exclaimed:

Armstrong: What was it? What the hell was it? That's all I want to know!"
Mission Control: What's there?... malfunction (garble) ... Mission Control calling Apollo 11 ...
Apollo 11: These babies were huge, sir!... Enormous!... Oh, God! You wouldn't believe it! ... I'm telling you there are other space-craft out there ... lined up on the far side of the crater edge! ... They're on the Moon watching us! ...

"During the transmission of the Moon landing of Armstrong and Aldrin, who journeyed to the Moon in an American spaceship, two minutes of silence occurred in which the image and sound were interrupted. NASA insisted that this problem was the result of one of the television cameras which had overheated, thus interfering with the reception.
This unexpected problem surprised even the most qualified of viewers who were unable to explain how in such a costly project, one of the most essential elements could break down... Some time after the historic Moon landing, Christopher Craft, director of the base in Houston, made some surprising comments when he left NASA.

Here is reproduced completely the dialogue between the American astronauts and Control Center:

Armstrong & Aldrin: They're here under the surface.

Armstrong & Aldrin: We saw some visitors. They were here for a while, observing the instruments.
Houston: Repeat your last information!
Armstrong & Aldrin: I say that there were other spaceships. They're lined up in the other side of the crater!
Houston: Repeat, repeat!
Armstrong & Aldrin: Let us sound this orbita ... in 625 to 5 ... Automatic relay connected ... My hands are shaking so badly I can't do anything. Film it? God, if these damned cameras have picked up anything - what then?
Houston: Have you picked up anything?
Armstrong & Aldrin: I didn't have any film at hand. Three shots of the saucers or whatever they were that were ruining the film
Houston: Control, control here. Are you on your way? What is the uproar with the UFOs over?
Armstrong & Aldrin: They've landed here. There they are and they're watching us.
Houston: The mirrors, the mirrors - have you set them up?
Armstrong & Aldrin: Yes, they're in the right place. But whoever made those spaceships surely can come tomorrow and remove them. Over and out.

"Neil Armstrong relayed the message to Mission Control that two large, mysterious objects were watching them after having landed near the Moon module (LEM). But this message was never heard by the public - because NASA censored it."
According to a Dr. Aleksandr Kasantsev, Buzz Aldrin took color movie film of the UFOs from inside the module, and continued filming them after he and Armstrong went outside.
Armstrong confirmed that the story was true but refused to go into further detail, beyond admitting that the CIA was behind the cover-up."

In his book "UFO's - Fact or Fiction" author Nigel Blundell has the following to say on the matter: " Aldrin and Armstrong are alleged to have seen some UFO's in a crater and Aldrin filmed them as Armstrong got out. His censored words are supposed to have run: 'These babies are huge sir.....enormous...I'm telling you there are other space craft out there!' Continues Blundell: " The story would be entirely laughable had it not come from former NASA officials Otto Binder and Maurice Chatelain, former boss of the organisations communications system.

" it was to avoid a confrontation with the Beings that the US government suspended its moon exploration programme. Astronomer George H Leonard of Rockville says he was told by a space scientist that 'top people' around the world have been briefed about the aliens'!
Perhaps the best documented astronaut sighting occurred aboard Gemini 7 in 1965. Astronaut Mc Divitt saw "a cylindrical object with an antenna-like extension". According to Mc Divitt's account of the incident the distance of the object, which was silvery in appearance, was impossible to gauge, but at least initially was more than just several miles distant. At that time it was in "free drifting flight" over the Pacific Ocean. Suddenly the craft appeared to change direction till it was on a collision course towards them. Hastily the astronauts began to consider preparations for avoiding action, but the craft ran past them without incident.

A further drama aboard Gemini 4 concerned a bright object going from "south to north", above the space craft. Later investigation deepened the mystery still further when it was confirmed there was no satellite traffic in the area at that time!

Yet an another strange sighting occurred aboard Gemini 7. Astronauts Borman and Lovell reported sighting a "bogey" at ten o'clock high. Exchanges with Mission Control confirmed this was not the rocket booster and subsequently a variety of small particles - never properly explained - were observed at a distance of 3 or 4 miles.
Each of the three above mentioned incidents was thoroughly investigated by the infamous Condon Inquiry. The conclusion was that the incidents were definitely "unexplained", and in the "highest category of credibility"!
Astronaut's Ed White and James McDivitt were passing over Hawaii in a Gemini spacecraft in June 1965, when they saw a weird-looking metallic object.

The UFO had long arms sticking out of it. McDivitt took pictures with a cine-camera. Those pictures have never been released.

In December 1965, Gemini astronauts James Lovell and Frank Borman also saw a UFO during their second orbit of their record-breaking 14 day flight. Borman reported that he saw an unidentified spacecraft some distance from their capsule. Gemini Control, at Cape Kennedy told him that he was seeing the final stage of their Titan booster rocket. Borman confirmed that he could see the booster rocket all right, but that he could also see something completely different.

Great thread! It amazes me how even with all these quotes people will still turn a blind eye to it. Information is power, so why not use this information!!!

I guess until an alien jumps out infront of them and tap's them on the shoulder they wont believe they exist? I'm not saying they do exist, but with hard evidence coming from people who have been into space and been to the moon. Then yes i'd have to say that they know what they have seen! If you're going to witness a ufo then it's more than likely going to happen while you are in space no?

I do not turn a blind eye to this but I would like to be sure of the truth of those informations, not that I am saying they are all lies, but one thing is reading or earing something directly from a witness another thing is read or ear someone say that other person said this or that.

The information about the speech of Gordon Cooper on the UN, for example.
I have seen that described as "an address to a U.N. panel discussion on UFOs and ETs", as "testifying under oath to the United Nations" and as a "letter to Grenada's ambassador to the U.N.".

What of these 3 options is the true?

The HAM station making the rebroadcast was WA3NAN Goddard Amateur Radio Club in Greenbelt, MD transmitting on 147.450 MHZ. Preliminary analysis shows that the voice could be either Michael Coats (Commander) or John E. Blaha (pilot). The recording was sent for further expert voice analysis the results of which are unknown at this time to the author.

This stuff is amazing. These recordings from credible sources such as pilots and astronuats is some of the best proff we have about UFOs. I mean come on people... pilots? Astronuats? These people arent some stupid civilian looking up at the sky, these are very credible sources. That episode last night on the History channel is one of the most convincing episodes I have ever seen concerning UFOs. It is undenyable, the government is hiding something..they have to be.

Why AM I not surprised by all this now...

While the evidence you provided is more than ample is still doesnt prove that
they exist.
It seems to me that a lot of ATS's are under the impression that because
astronauts and presidents talk about them its taken to be the absolute
gospel and if anyone doesnt believe they get shunned and ostricised
in their threads.

If the same people said santa is real you would probably believe that as well.
Just cos people are skeptical doesnt mean they need psychiatric help.

I've been doing some searching of other sites, and I am somewhat confused. For example, I found the following information at the following site:

Maybe that should be the extension of this thread when you are out of quotes. Who are the people you are quoting?

For example, who are Dr. Aleksandr Kasantsev and the other Russian doctor who I saw described on the web as a 'noted astrophysicist'? If we knew something about these people and their reptuation, these quotes would have more value.

So the big question is, how credible is some of this stuff?

I mean, quotes on tape from Carter and Cooper are great. But this other stuff, I wanna know who these people are, first, whether they said them, second, and what reptuation they have, third.

And that reminds me, this "he was a low level emplyee of a subcontractor" story keeps coming up again and again, with both Lazar and Chatelain, for example.

Two possibilities:
1) Low level technical people with big imaginations fabricate
2) Its a common coverup technique to acknowledge but downplay the role of a person

True Prote, some people require the tangible. When some hold up for comparison/contrast all they know about human nature (all they know of themselves) they do not see enough proof in the declared observances of others.

In 1979 Maurice Chatelain, former chief of NASA Communications Systems confirmed that Armstrong had indeed reported seeing two UFOs on the rim of a crater. Chatelain believes that some UFOs may come from our own solar system -- specifically Titan.
