Scientology Video, or book advertisement?

I don't know if anyone posted this before or not, but my buddy sent it to me today in e-mail... I've watched the first 1/3 or so and think it's quite a hoot.

Eivdently, its the Orientation Video for Scientology.

My question is this.... is this a science/religion or is it a way to sell books and merchandise?

Isn't that the Dianetics infomercial they used to show on TV? It is pretty rediculous. I almost expect to see Ron Popeil up in this piece.
