As President Bush takes to the podium at 21:07 EST in his fifth state of the Union address to a joint session of congress millions will watch to see what he says. I'll be covering it live here on ATSNN.

21:32: We reward developing nations that are moving forward.
21:33: I ask you to reauthorise the patriot act.
21:34: I have authorised a terror surveillance program to pursue international communications. Federal courts have approved that authority. The program has helped prevent terrorist attacks.
21:35: We need the support of our friends and allies.
21:36: American leaders rejected isolation and retreat, america is more secure when freedom is on the march.
21:37: Our economy is strong.
21:37: We cannot afford to be complacent in our economy.

21:40: America needs more then a temporary tax relief, urges congress to make tax cuts permanent

21:44: We must have a humane guest worker program
21:45: We will make wider use of electronic records to reduce health costs.
21:47: America is addicted to oil, the best way to break this addiction is through technology.
21:48: Our goal is to make this new kind of ethanol competitive within 6 years.
21:49: We must reduce our oil exports by 75% by 2025
21:50: We will improve our quality of life and ensure America will lead the world for years to come
21:51: We need to encourage children to take more math and science and make sure these courses are rigorous enough to be competitive in the world
21:52: America is a great force for freedom and prosperity.
21:53: Many Americans still have concerns about our culture, unethical conduct, activist courts.
21:54: The supreme court has two new members on its bench.
21:56: Human life is a gift from our creator, and that gift should never be discarded or put up for sale.
21:57: Each of us has made a pledge to be worth of public responsibility.
21:58: We encourage young people to stay in school.
22:00: I ask congress provide new funding for aids medicines in America
22:01: The United States could have been complicit in the protection of others, we must decide will we turn back or finish well.

He just mentioned a revival of nuclear energy. I would really like to see this be the major leader in new energy. I think wind power, hydro power, and solar power are all vital, but I believe that nuclear power should lead the pack.
