Katrina "Relief" thread, positioning question

would it be possible and appropriate to put this thread up in the "banner" area or keep it at the top of the "new posts" ?

I just want to make sure everyone gets a chance to see it, I know that we have a lot of members here who will donate and try to help in some way and they might need assistance in finding out how and where they can help.
