Major power outage hits New York, other large cities!!!

What the heck is going on???

A major power outage simultaneously struck several large cities in the United States and Canada late Thursday afternoon.

a fire was reported at a power station in ny which apparently took down the entire power grid.

starting to think about the whispersinthedark thread.

Could it not also be a huge friggin' comet or whatever getting closer and closer causing these power outages?

Has anyone noticed their tvs, monitors, or anything electric going kinda awry lately? My electronic stuff sure has been actin' weird.

Whispers did mention a list of potential targets. These included NYC, DC, London, and Texas for the most part.

My home comp was out and the date was changed to March 12 2002, and the time was 12:40 a.m....It's actuall 6:23 p.m. here.

seems to be spreading but nothing realy confirmed .... HAARP is one of your areas isnt it DR? some one posted increased HAARP activity but i cant rem who, whats your take on that?

Here in Rhode Island (yeah a really small place) the power went out abd then blipped back on. The thing is though my neighborhood has a lot of brownouts, normally. So I don't know....

UPDATE:

Crisis in Cleveland, The city of cleveland has as little as 1 hour of water left as no pumps are functioning.

MI, People are trapped on fairground rides and safeties may fail (we're not talking dodgems, some of the worlds largest rides have failed)

NYC is still packed up, i don't think the national guard will come in now.

This was a very smart part on anyone trying to get back to the US.

I can't believe that people don't believe terrorist weren't involved.

I don't see many Power engeniers being interviewed.

i don't even see the news at the power station. I haven't seen the power station once in the past 2 hours.

Fox showed the power station from a distance, but that could have been stock footage ... i dont know
