Dude, I luv Spetznaz. They're #2, tied with the Green Berets, on my favorite Spec Ops list.
!!!!!!!

Here r some:
AK74 SU
30mm Tishma Suppressed Grenade Launcher 4 an attachment
AN-94
AK101-AK108
SVD
APS Underwater Assualt Rifle
P11 Underwater Pistol
OC-14 Groza
AS VAL
SR-3 Vikhr

I could go on and on, but here r some links:

world.guns.ru...

Just look under "Russia" in any of the catagories there. It tells u if used.

www.specialoperations.com...

club.guns.ru...

Hope this helps.

P.S. SEALs and Delta r tied 4 1st. Just saying.

1. Yep, there r 2 Counter-Terrorist Teams:
Alpha: 4 inside Russia, they were used 4 the theater
Beta: Foriegn, like Chechnya, AND EVEN AFGTHANISTAN!!!

2. The AK101 and 8, and I think 2, use the 5.56mm NATO rds, but US guns, I don't think so. I think it might b politcal or something, but I'm not sure that they do or not, but most likely not.

3. Yep, like the new AN-94s
world.guns.ru...
OC-14 Groza
world.guns.ru...
PP-2000
world.guns.ru...
And my favorite, the AK103
kalashnikov.guns.ru...
It's like the return of the 7.62x39mm and the AK47

LONG LIVE THE AK47 AND KALASHNIKOV!!!

From memory wasnt the spetnaz involvement with the hostages in that theatre labled "a disaster" by more then one newspaper... Or am i thinking of another occasion.
I seriously doubt however, that the Spetznaz would use an american weapon. THey are the best of Russias soldiers so therefore pretty much a poster boy of what a Russian soldier should be. Basiclly the same as equiping Delta with AK - 47's... never going to happen.

Reading through one of the articles provided by SEAL TRIDENT regarding the Spetznaz states that "weapons handling, including the use of foreign weapons and marksmanship;" So while they will not be issued them in the field they are familiar with them.

Thanks

haha yea the gas they put in the theatre killed some hostages... or its the way that the spetsnaz put them in the parking lot... and i also like the OC-14 Groza... groza means "threat" in russian... anybody knows how long it takes to train a spetsnaz???

better queston is if u can survive training. With the live firing and demo training, many ppl get killed. The training is harsh 2, much more than Western Spec Op Training, but when u suceed, u have a great carear ahead of u. I tried looking, but I can't find anything, but I would say around a year or less. I know it's not 2 long. I'll try and find out. That's a good queston.

SEAL training is hard, but u can pass it if u mentally believe u can, but Spetznaz is different, harsh as in beat up, get ur face deep down in the dirt, shot at harsh. It helps train u mentally I guess, but crap, they're r 1,000s of these guys how? lol, with respect, it's just the training so hard.

i think that people who pass the training are people who are like the russians from WWII... russia didnt really care about anything at WWII cuz they just had a revolution
but when hitler attacked them they had only 1 thing on their minds... RUSSIA defend it serve it worship it... so people who care about their country can probly pass spetsnaz training...

O'yeah, I just mean it's harsh conpared 2 Western Training. When u pass, it's great. In a way, I feel like the training is more dangerous than the missions.
It's that bad in safety. REALLY! The actual training, yeah, like u said, but it's about ppl wondering if they're going 2 die during training that gets me. But hey, there r like 15,000 of these guys, so it can't b so bad.

P.S. That's all of Spetznaz: 15,000, even from the Navy and all.

Seal, the numbers doersnt imply how good the training is, thats probably 15, 000 very well trained troops.

Okay, I'll try 1 more time:

Training: Hard and unsafe
Troops: Excellent and well trained

Their training is harsh, but whe u pass it, ur well trained and trough, both physically and mentally, so ur ready 4 about anything, like Western Spec Ops, although Western r safer, and not as harsh.

P.S. I 1st posted at the top they r tied 4 2nd on my faovrite list, and I also said about "a great carear ahead".

Here's bit more info:

Known Units:

Razvedchiki: one battalion divided in2 2 companies[1 4 airborne, and the other 4 LRRP[Long Range Reconnisance Patrol] Operations]

Rejdoviki: a brigade-sized formation that operates in battalion- or company size recon units

Vysotniki: a brigade-sized formation that operates in small 11-man units, performing SAS-Style Missions

The basic Spetznaz Unit comprises of 8-10 soldiers commanded by a officer, so it's really 9-11 total.

Specialists:
Communications
Reconnaissance
Sniping
Explosives

Every member has been crosstrained so if 1 falls, he can take his place.

Brigade:

3-5 Battalions
Signal Company
Support Unit
HQ Company

1300 men capable of deploying 100-man operational teams

In addition: Most Russian Armies also have a force of 115 or 15 operation teams.

Each company is organized in a similiar manner of a brigade, and it contains 3 platoons, a communitcations platoon, and a support unit.

APART FROM THE BRIGADE AND ARMY SPETZNAZ, THERE R A NUMBER OF UNITS OPERATING DIRECTLY UNDER GRU AND NAVAL SPETNAZ BRIGADE, GIVING A PEACETIME STRENGTH OF SOME 15,000 PERSONNEL.

As most missions take place behind enemy lines, they travel lightly. Armed with mainly a AK74 or AN94 and a silenced 9mm pistol, ammo, kinfe, AND UP 2 10 GRENADES!!!
In addition, each team carries an SVD Sniper Rifle, RPG-16, under-rifle grenade launcher, SA-14 MANPADS[Air-2-Air Missle Launcher], plastic explosives, anti-personnel mines, and a R-350M burst transmission radio, range of 1000km[620 miles].

P.S. I don't believe about just the AN94 and AK74, most likely they use like the OC-14, AK100 Series, and others, and also, 4 SVDs, I think they also use VSSs and SVUs:

world.guns.ru...

4 Urban Terrian Sniping, they have the VSS and VSK-94

Some Submachine Guns r the PP-19 Bizon,

world.guns.ru...

and it's upgrade the PP-90M1

world.guns.ru...

AS VAL Assualt Rifle:
