Some media are making a big deal out of
Biden and AOC being cozy in recent days.
It got me thinking: Democrat media has been pushing Biden not to run again, but it's clear he is too arrogant to step aside for the good of the party.
But would he replace Harris? Some Democrats have been pushing him to do that too. She's wildly unpopular even among Democrats and she's irrefutably
incompetent.
Since the Democrat party is basically a nonstop Oppression Olympics, replacing her would be racist and sexist. UNLESS he replaces her with another
woman of color. AOC isn't black, but she isn't white either. Would it be enough to avoid the backlash?
AOC is 34, which makes her ineligible to serve as President or Vice President. But she turns 35 in October, so she would be eligible when she would be
sworn in in January of 2025 if Biden wins.
Biden has been losing the youth vote and the pro-Hamas vote, which somewhat overlap. AOC would help a lot with that. She's pro-Hamas. She's for
blanket student loan forgiveness. She's into bankrupting the country to "fix" climate change and all kinds of other big socialist spending that young
voters want.
She's possibly more incompetent and less informed than even Harris but low-information Democrat voters don't care about something like that.
The only argument I could see against it is that it would alienate black voters. But would it? Do blacks even like Harris? If I were them, I'd be
embarrassed by her.
They'd just have to do the calculation of whether AOC would bring back enough young voters to replace the percentage of black voters that would be
alienated. Focus groups could help take care of that.
What do you guys think? Should he do it? Would it be a good idea? Would it be a net gain or loss?
Edit: So far, all the responses seem to be people thinking I wanna see AOC be VP. That's not the case. I'm not even asking if she would make a better
VP than Harris. I'm asking if she would increase Biden's electability with Democrat voters. As I said in the OP, yes, I understand removing Harris
would anger some black voters. The question is if AOC would bring along enough young voters to offset that.
Not sure explaining that a second time is gonna make a difference, but there it is.
