New website?

I saw linked today, was what I believe is a clone, or an offshoot website, of ATS.

Not yet having joined, I do not have the metrics for this new one.
I do see a lot of design elements that could be of issue.
I see known posters. Even known posters I haven't seen here in a minute.

Is this a migration or an alternative or what?
Who are the owners etc?

I recognize folks are hedging their bets, but what is this?

It's been around for some months now. It was set up as a life raft. One of the ATS members made it but I don't recall who.

It is like a throwback in a way to the old ways.
Less political drivel and more....classic conspiracies. Not as much traffic but I see that changing soon. I haven't logged on in a week or so.

I think DTOM has her own forum now. Maybe this is what you are looking for?

It's not hers, but she is a mod there.
I believe it was set up by an old member here, for us to go to, if this site dies in May.

I have a couple fall backs now, from old and previous members.

And I thank them! There are many members I hope show up, just so I don't lose contact with them.

Most of us have joined the place as a backup for ATS should it all go breasts up when the server bills come due.

As to a clone, not quite, if that was the case, and the format the same, i would be using it just now a lot more.

That's the thing with ATS, its become a home for so many of us.

I really hope someone of means can step up and give the place another lease of life.

But for that to happen Darko would need to reappear and do the necessaries, and on that score, I'm not holding my breath.

I still say "deny ignorance" feels like what our society already suffers from, attacking conventional wisdom and civic values, pretending that feels are facts and such.

"Defy ignorance" is more appropriate because it underlines the rejection of fake news and propaganda. Some unscrupulous types might call it hamstringing.

There's also a discord called the phantom zone. Someone here has the link I'm sure. Ask nicely and ye shall receive.

I have tried joining a discord in the past to no avail. Probably my error, but who knows.

I set it up as a life raft for if and when ATS flat lines, and to bring back the original spirit of ATS. Back when we were a family and before it all became about money and in-fighting. We really had something special back then.

As mentioned, not my site. But I do help moderate there.

There is no one at the helm on ATS, and there hasn't been for many months now.
ATS is a rudderless ship......with no way to update anything. Or fix what breaks.
