CDC New Guidance Ends 5-Day COVID-19 Isolation Recovery Guideline

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has stated that those recovering from COVID-19 no longer need to stay isolated for five days after symptoms end.

According to updated recommendations from the CDC, people with COVID-19 should avoid contact with others and remain at home until at least 24 hours after their symptoms improve and they do not have a fever, without medication.

“Today’s announcement reflects the progress we have made in protecting against severe illness from COVID-19,” CDC Director Dr. Mandy Cohen said in a statement. “However, we still must use the common sense solutions we know work to protect ourselves and others from serious illness from respiratory viruses; this includes vaccination, treatment, and staying home when we get sick.”

They also stated that you should continue to wear a mask that fits properly, avoid close contact with people, get tested, and practice better hygiene during the five days that follow feeling better and not having a fever.

It's been like that in the UK since last year.

Lol, I didn't realise any countries were still treating it like it's worse than influenza.
How do you know it's not just a cold?
In the UK they stopped the bull# tests coz it cost too much when everyone with a cold is insisting it's COVID!

I stopped worrying about covid around April 2020, when I realised the only people who died were the same people flu kills...elderly, unwell, and fat people... I'm none of those so I caught it on purpose, and kinda ignored the propaganda after that.

...I've never had a flu vaccine either, prefer to trust my immune system, and it's worked for over half a century so far!🫣

They are basically saying treat it like the flu... gee, I recall the "conspiracy theorist" saying the same thing four years ago.

From Wall Street Journal.

Covid in 2024: Treat it more like flu

"A case of Covid no longer means isolating for five days, according to the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released Friday. It’s the latest sign of the virus’s normalization four years after it upended our lives.

You should now follow the same precautions with Covid as you take with the flu, according to new guidelines from the CDC. That means staying home until you’ve gone a day with no fever and symptoms start to improve. Take other precautions for the next five days, including wearing a mask and limiting close contact with others.

Those are the same steps the CDC recommends for other respiratory viruses."

4 years ago no one was vaccinated and hardly anyone had acquired immunity.

Things change.

The vaccine hardly prevents death and doesn't stop spread. People knew four years ago it wasn't as serious as it was being portrayed to the general population. They were shut down from speaking out and labeled as conspiracy theorist.

Don't try to rewrite history.

I would say ignoring vaccination and acquired immunity as to why advice is different now is rewriting history.

I work in healthcare, and we just recently moved through some of the worst Flu A cases I’ve ever seen. It spread through our small town like wildfire.

A person that's jabbed and boosted at work just got Covid positive for the third time, a week or so ago. They are making her wear a mask for a week. (Oh that will save planet).

No one else caught it.

Nope. It's just that the politicians and the media stopped freaking about it. The virus didn't go anywhere but the fear mongering is gone so it seems that the "pandemic" is over.

It could be normal from the beginning. The virus was never dangerous enough to justify all the frenzy. But none of the idiotic so-called experts will now admit that they lost their f***ing minds.

Better still, few figured out that NOT taking the COVID test was a sure way to not come up positive. Ignoring the TV helped, too.

MASK wearing causes your blood's carbon dioxide level to elevate. This makes you more docile in the short term and dumber in the long run.

Our government leadership knows what they're doing.

Thankfully, so do most Americans!
