No. It was just a test missile.

No "if's"?

Certainly. The standard missile, which is in service and combat duty, is about 30 years old. This is about the issue of reliability))))

So are most of your aircraft, and what's left of your Black Sea fleet, etc?

You begin to go off topic and change direction. Thank you for agreeing with me)))

And both were UK tests, and are hardly a sign of anything falling apart. The UK doesn't have a nuclear triad, so how are them having two failed tests a sign that the US nuclear triad falling apart?

The previous test was in 2017. The missile worked just fine, there was a navigation error, most likely human error putting the coordinates in during the targeting phase before launch.

Again, how does a UK missile failure mean that all of the missiles, including US missiles are falling apart?

There is no "if". You don't use warheads in missile tests, so there wouldn't be a warhead. Even if there was a warhead, it wouldn't have gone off. A first stage failure wouldn't arm the warheads, and they wouldn't just go off on impact with the water.

That's a little late to the party there. Finally got those engines that start and an updated airframe that doesn't collapse in on itself. You'll call it the M version. The modern one.

I do hope it's more reliable this time. Tupolev's have that reputation for not being the best of brands.
I do also hope you're captivated by that M for modern. It's actually M for: Might.
As in: we might have gotten it right after 40 years of being an utter f' ing failure.

Forgot the biggest failure (not actually updating it into the actual 21 century).....
We can see, hear and probably smell that peace of nothing Tupolev from about 2,000 miles away and will probably take time for a giggle and a cup of tea before we put it out of business.

What fighting chance does Putin think he has?

Watching the media's breathless "nuclear-capable bomber" remarks as if we don't fly nuclear-capable aircraft all the time.

Maybe a cool experience for him but means literally nothing.

You can easily assess the state of the American nuclear triad (I am silent about the English one; the day before yesterday, during another “successful” test of the Trident missile on the English boat Winegard, the English Minister of Defense almost died). Rusty equipment, loss of competencies and even drawings for restoration. This is the reality of the US nuclear triad))))

It didn't take you long to go off on your propaganda triade did it? You can't seem to help yourself can you?

Let us remind you that Vladimir Putin’s flight route is not disclosed, since it is a military secret. The aircraft on which the president flew is called Ilya Muromets.

So did Mad Vlad actually have the nerve to fly in that thing, or was it publicity a stunt and he got out as soon as he was out of shot??

How many are they going to build, not to mention with what?

You do realise they are apt to experience the same dilemmas as with your T-14 Armata or Su-57.

Down to a lack of construction materials and the proper infrastructure you need to have in place to assemble these vehicles in any sort of numbers that would make a difference.
