Here's Intuitive Machine's main Twitter page.

There's a couple of photos of the moon posted along with some updates.

All is well with the mission and the landing is still on for later today.

I'm curious, does this moon lander have a selfie stick or did it ask a passing UFO to snap a shot?

We were told the earth is oblong. that looks oddly perfectly spherical.

The oblateness of the Earth is only 42km at the equator, too small to be seen by the naked eye

Intuitive Machines update:

Flight controllers chose to exercise an additional orbit before starting the IM-1 Mission landing sequence. The new anticipated landing time is 1724 CST. We expect the landing stream to start on the IM-1 web page and NASA TV at 1600 CST. The content on both streams is identical. (22FEB2024 1330 CST)

The lander went through the autonomous landing, then mission control lost communication with it.

It was speculated that it may have rolled after landing.

After a short while, they were able to detect a faint signal and confirm that their equipment was on the surface of the moon and transmitting.

Apparently all good and has been taking photos of the surface.

Be nice if they shared those photos.....

They will, it just takes time to transmit data from the moon and there are much higher priorities right now than pictures, probably by some point today the first pictures will be published

Intuitive Machines have posted a couple images from the moon.

Odysseus captured this image approximately 35 seconds after pitching over during its approach to the landing site. The camera is on the starboard aft-side of the lander in this phase. 2/5 (26FEB2024 0745 CST

I wouldn't believe NASA; being a govt. supported agency. I get the feeling that many space faring nations are putting nukes on the moon. Space Force indeed....Your tax dollars at work!!

Although this mission has NASA instruments aboard the lander, the lander itself is not from NASA but from a private company, Intuitive Machines.

In the process of "doing my own research" you missed the part where this isn't a NASA mission, huh?

Why put them on the Moon? Would take ages to get here.

"Human Error or Alien Intervention ? ..........Hmm......."

Why would aliens do that when they have "let" plenty of others land OK?

Bit petty of them?

What could be the last picture from Odysseus as Lunar night approaches has been released , like Japan's faceplanted lander "SLIM" Odysseus wasn't built to survive the freezing temperatures of a night on the Moon but as JAXA's lander proved that doesn't mean it won't , we'll know in a few weeks when the Sun rises again.

The small crescent to the left of the Sum is home , Earth.
