Light theme/ Dark theme?

Perhaps this is an issue just for me.

I browse ATS on my phone, and on my computer. I'm signed in on my computer. I do not have my ATS account linked to my phone.
Since the opportunity to have the dark theme, I've had it on computer and phone.

Today, The dark theme is not an option on my phone, and it seems I cannot go to light theme on my computer (not that I want to, just experimenting).

Is this a thing for anyone else?

The icon is there, but it doesn't do anything besides reload the page.

Yes happened to me today on my phone. I was walking my dog & I read recent ATS threads while walking & it's usually in light mode which is easier for me to read outside most of the time. I don't recall switching to dark mode, but it was & I couldn't light mode back.

Same here. When I logged in I was able to change to dark mode. A new glitch I assume.

Same here. Happened a few times today, had to login then it allowed me to change it.

Interesting.

I could log on to ATS on phone.
But I suspect it has more to do with all the unknowns we do not know from the last few months.

Perhaps code is being updated, or perhaps things are crashing.

I'm not one to speculate on web code.

Unfortunately I tend to believe the latter. 😏

I may be wrong, but it looks like the button is creating a cookie with the opposite colour, but the cookie expire date is 2024-01-04 2024-01-24 20:33, so it already expired and nothing happens.

Edited to add that I thought that the time corresponded to the time of the loading of the page, so I corrected it to 20:33, but, apparently, it doesn't change, it's fixed at 2024-01-24 20:24:24

This light/dark theme flipping back and forth is getting annoying.

I thought it was just me as I was playing about with my browsers settings the other night , But I also noticed I can view my post history further back than before which is a win for me .

Not a personnel setting. But thank you for your opinion.

My laptop is stuck on dark mode while my phone is stuck on light mode.

I don't think it's directly related, as the dark/light problem is caused by a cookie set to expire on a day that already passed, so its never activated.

My PMs from last year are still in their respective boxes.

You could try this Extension if you are using a Chrome Browser . It lets you Change Light/Dark Themes on ANY Webpage . I use it and it works Great .
