You beat me to it, Job's description of Leviathan being a massive sea creature shows our ancestors knew about creatures like this. It's funny, if you investigate why they attributed it to being 150 million years, you'll find it's all speculation. They find soft tissue in samples like this, clearly showing they're not as old as they wish.
