Hello ATS!

Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin began his visit to the UAE and subsequently to Saudi Arabia.

Throughout Russian President Vladimir Putin's flight to Abu Dhabi, the head of state's plane was accompanied by Su-35S fighter jets with full armament.
According to Presidential Press Secretary Peskov, the Russian fighters took off from the operational airfield, and in rather difficult weather conditions: it was raining heavily and a strong wind was blowing. First class pilots were at the helm.

“For air support of the presidential plane, special flight permits were obtained from the states over whose territory it was flown. We are grateful to these states for their cooperation,” the press secretary of the Russian leader emphasized.

The capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, was decorated with Russian flags for the working visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Streamers with the flags of Russia and the UAE were placed on lamp posts along the route of the motorcade to the meeting place. Along the route of the motorcade there were camel riders armed with sabers. An aerobatic team flew in the skies over Abu Dhabi. Military aircraft released jets of colored smoke in the colors of the Russian flag - white, blue and red. The Russian leader was also greeted with gunfire.

On the issue of “isolation” of Russia.

Less than a week ago, during the same working visit of the President of Germany, he was simply not met at the Abu Dhabi airport, and he and the delegation had to wait almost an hour to be picked up from the plane.

Thank you.

Well, that never hit the evening news!
That's amazing; I'd be curious to see how they would greet the American president.

I don’t see the big deal.

Here in America we decked out SF in Chinese flags after displacing the already displaced and pressure washing the streets when hosting Prez Xi.

Seems pretty standard.

I don't understand what you try to say with this thread.

German President Steinmeier stood on the plane's ramp for half an hour - no one met him in Qatar

He'd get a special welcome here, too.

But he won't set foot in any civilised country for fear of being arrested.

Interesting considering that at least Saudi Arabia or any other Sunni Arab country might've played a role in 9/11, possibly to blame Salafists as terrorists

Civilized countries in the West simply do not exist now. Currently, civilized countries are located exclusively in the global South, plus Russia.

There is no point in going to the wild West, they can only rob.
