It Is Time to wave goodbye

I have fond memories here of many long gone posters and topics from the old days of ATS, it was a cool place to learn at one time.
It has decended into god knows what and im not wanting to take part in it.

But on that, I'm not sold on this being permanent, there could be CFM Turbofan engine to ride back to past at some point.

There are a lot of people that don’t deal with change well.

As a military brat we were raised to turn our lives upside down at the turn of a hat.
There were a few kids that it really impacted, but for the majority of us we were able to bury the feeling deep down.
Then as adults change is no problem, moving, no problem. For many relationships ending….no problem.
It’s amazing what we can be trained to accept from a young age.

I guess so. In the annals of things I thought were outwardly apparent, I guess this isn't one of them.

I went to a Tool show once. Had a song they played as my cryptic signature yesterday. Changed, because I wanted a different Song he is in. The line is something Maynard use to ask the crowd at concerts. Accompanied by a song about thinking for yourself.

Tool - Opiate - Live in 2017. At 6:30 in the song he did his signature message to the crowd.

He said,

"Well I've got good news and I've got bad news, which one do you want first?

"The good news and the bad news combined are, it's all gonna work out, or not, so tonight... we dance. To quote Willy Wonka, we are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams."

Always stuck with me. And yes, I am/was Degradation.

you decide if what happens to you is a blessing or a curse.

It already has gotten a lot more quiet. There was some prick saying really crazy things about an old member.
It was glorious how some ganged up and went after him.
It is a little like a monkey tribe being attacked by invaders. But ... digitally, verbally. All very interesting to see.

Some topics on ATS I never followed that much and I wonder why some of these divides happened.
Some of the attacks…maybe they are deserved… maybe not. I know there are a lot of hypocrites on this site, that’s for sure.

Sure you got one of each kind and then some everywhere, depending how big the group is.
I just meant it was beautiful how they all came together, despite all differences in opinion we usually have on here.

But these new people are sthg else. On the other hand, aside from the generally un-protected feeling, somehow it has been really fun.

I see you re-joined basically the same day it happened? What do you think is going on?

I only hope I can keep my flags and stars for when ats goes down. Just mementos of happy times gone by.

I'm afraid it is not one of those establishments where you can or should want to take anything with home from.

Well I aint going anywhere, Been here for over a decade and half, I've seen a lot of sh!t go down over that period.

Trolling is very "in the moment". Surges are definitely a parabolic thing. At some point, it will lose its fun.

Don't care about stars and flags. Lost tons when I couldn't get my original Oldcarpy account back ages ago when I changed email address when I changed jobs.

Just want my much loved ATS back and pest control back to nuke the trolls.
