was cooking, sports, and anime drama all rolled into one unforgettable package.
I'm talking about the OG Iron Chef Japan! The food was mysterious, exotic, and cooked with intensity and passion!
Pay your respects because without this seminal groundbreaking import there'd be no cooking competition shows as we know them. You could say goodbye to
Food Network entirely without Iron Chef--this was the formula FN has attempted to emulate for decades. We'd never have the likes of Chopped,
Masterchef, and endless cake bakeoffs.
Well for the first time, someone actually secured the rights for the English dubs. (These episodes have been online before, but never in such great
quality as this. And hey, this same channel seems to have the rights to several nostalgia shows if Iron Chef isn't exactly your thing.)
Relive the greatest cooking competition show evah!
Sadly, the only thing missing from the nostalgia experience is the original opening theme song.
