Do NASA Have Black Projects???

We all know about the US Air Force and their black projects. We all know that they are in production and in service for a long time before we(the public) finally get confirmation that they exist. But does NASA have them???

Back in the 60's aircraft were...well quite rubbish really. And then all of a sudden...bang, we're hit with the SR-71. An amazing machine with technology way ahead of its time. This proved that the US Air Force had technologies that the public could only dream of and speculate about.
The black projects to follow advanced as the years went by and people often talk of the Aurora which in my opinion is way more advanced than NASA's ageing shuttle fleet.

So my question is this...
If the USAF can build things we can only dream about, can NASA? OR HAVE THEY ALREADY???

For all we know NASA could have spacecraft capable of anything, and if they have why wont they tell us? We had the tech to go to the moon in the 60's, so NASA must be hiding spacecraft capable of going to the Moon, Mars and even Europa (a moon supposedly more Earthlike than anything in our solar system).

It normally takes the USAF a while to tell us they have a new aircraft so hopefully the time is near for NASA to release the shuttle's replacement.

Fingers crossed!!!

NASA has the misfortune of being a civilian agency. Therefore, no black budgets, etc. and lots of civilian overseers. Now, that doesn't mean they don't cooperate with the military often...but I don't know of anything supporting covert development of black projects on their own....

Personally, I think making NASA civilian was one of the biggest blunders we ever did. We'd be SO much further now if it was always military.

But this could be how we dont see the black projects.

If we didnt know about the military side of NASA then nobody would speculate about the black budget like they do with the USAF...
And it would be alot easier to keep it all a secret if we had no idea of its existence.

Just a thought...

As far as im aware NASA doesn't know jack about any black projects, nor has any itself. This serves two useful purposes, means no chance of having any leaks from conscious driven scientists and serves as a cover for the government to deny any knowledge of EBEs/ETVs etc (not that many in government know about black projects either).
However the US air force has had an Ultra top secret space program going for awhile now.

You guys are so Well trained that you even call the good projects "white" projects and the bad projects "Black" projects ... Excuse me while I read that again and humor myself.

Hmm??

Not really!!!

We call the Black projects just that, and we call your so called white projects by whatever they are called.

And what is this good and bad thing all about???

Its not so much that NASA 'has' black projects, but that they are a 'cover' for black projects.

For some proof, see Dryden Flight Research Center's story on Francis Gary Powers NASA cover for the U2 he was shot down in. Remember Project Clementine?

In other words, they are the white tip of a very big black iceburg. As for being 'civilian', no in fact not.

NASA does some secret stuff besides just being a cover for hiding the presence of ETs.

From www.astronautix.com... which is a biography of Astronaut Mark Neil Brown.

1988-1989 Astronaut Mission Specialist, STS-28, 8-13 August

STS-28 was a secret Department of Defense shuttle mission. Mr. Brown, who flew as an Astronaut-Mission Specialist, was responsible for the primary satellite payload, deployed the satellite on orbit;

What Gazrok said, but I don't necessarily agree on the nature of the program.

I agree that we'd be a lot further if it was a military organization, but only in certain areas. We'd have the black projects, but we'd have another military branch. Because NASA is civillian, the military is NOT a dominating presence in space, which I think is currently a large positive. I'd like to see some military presence, but not through NASA. NASA has done so much more for the scientific community on its own, things that would have gotten pushed aside under control of the military.

You have to remember, a lot of the NASA space shuttles and etc are designed by major aerospace corps. such as Boeing, Lockheed, etc. These companies also introduced the SR-71 and other types of technology 'unrecognized' to society before it's supposed time in technology.

True, but they've had no more support than the military when it comes to these sorts of things.
