So New Zealand ends it's "Search for Tomorrow" I know where the

I want to see whether any of their woke policies will be reversed.

Wait and see what happens ,cos the realisation of these "politicians" they know that once you've voted them in the whole caboodle belongs to them. It might be like in the UK now, the difference between the major parties is virtually nil. The choice aint which party would be better but which party would do the least damage, the least authoritarian methods that they want to roll out. Wait and see.

At least they got rid of the left wing loonies and their fart taxes... It's something to be honest.

Is the party leadership really right wing or just center to center-right leaning? I’ve seen some msn sites call Jim Jordan far right recently so I guess in recent times people who are considered center-right are now right wing and right wing people are now far right.

It is a center-right government, which will probably be a disappointment to many that post here.

Many of the things that you attribute to the Labour government here, were actually passed into law with the agreement of the National Party who were in opposition, but still in Parliament, at the time.

And, about the "fart tax", the National Party (the one that was just elected to government) proposed its version of the levy back in September 2009, when they were in government at the time. They even set up a special envoy to liaise with other countries on the issue (the Labour government never went that far).

Agricultural emissions research levy

One will also note that this was a proposed tax - proposed in different formats by both major parties at different times. It was never actually implemented (it has always been strongly opposed by the Farmers Federation).

Ardern describes herself as a social democrat and a progressive.[10][11

I can only hope that this becomes a trend as we have way too many in USA who have got to go. There is hope as this is a bright light

You do realize that Ardern voluntarliy stepped down from her position and left government some time ago?

The interim Labour government cancelled or put on hold several of the things that Ardern was trying to achieve, because there was a more pressing issue of the economic downturn.

Much applaud and appraisal for those warriors. Now, please let dominoes fall. And here’s to hope Fascinda gets her comeuppance into a cell or whatever else she deserves.

I don't think this new government will go along with these policies as the times have changed quite a lot since 2009. You can't blame the National Party for what Labour did or didn't and especially for the fart taxes, the Covid restrictions and the mask and vaccines mandates.

The left-wing government in New Zealand that had draconian lockdowns and introduced a climate FART TAX to punish farmers have LOST the election.

Voters just elected a new right-wing government.

This is a MASSIVE win for farmers and freedom

Following years of ridiculous policies such as fart taxes to punish the farmers in the name of the climate change ideology, delusional zero Covid policies and draconian lockdowns, ridiculous masks and vaccine mandates, and huge dissatisfaction over rising living costs, finally the left-wing government in New Zealand is a thing of the past.

Interesting development.

Yep!

Did you see the part about fart taxes in the Kingdom of New Zealand?! The more you fart the more tax you pay. And you pay tax because you contribute to global warming and climate change...

To be fair, a lot of stinky hot air emanates from that area and makes its way here.

The more you dont fart, the gas will make it's way to the brain giving you sh*tty ideas.
