President Biden and first lady Jill Biden traveled to Florida Saturday to survey the damage wrought by Hurricane Idalia and the state, local and federal response to it.
The president and first lady took an aerial tour of storm-affected areas, before traveling to Live Oak, Florida, where they received a briefing on response and recovery efforts and met with first responders, federal personnel and local officials. United States President Joe Biden told survivors of Hawaii’s deadly wildfires that the nation “grieves with you” as he promised federal assistance “for as long as it takes”.
Biden arrived in Maui on Monday August 21st, 13 days after the wildfires ravaged the western part of the island. The fires – the deadliest the US has seen in more than a century – have killed at least 114 people.

----On Tuesday, August 8th, Wildfires ripped through sections of the Hawaiian Island of Maui. President Joe Biden didn't want to talk about the tragedy that caused 114 men/women/children to lose their life. FINALLY, after 13 days of ridicule from all over, President Biden interrupted his Lake Tahoe vacation and visited Maui for a few hours.

President Joseph R. Biden is a DEMOCRAT.
Florida is mostly Republicans. Florida did NOT help Joe Biden become President.
Hawaii is mostly Democrats. Hawaii DID help Joe Biden become President.
WHY was President Biden so HESITANT to show his support for Hawaii after their disaster, but so EAGER to show his support after Florida's disaster???
Any good theories on this?

Any time the POTUS travels anywhere, there is a huge impact on the local infrastructure. Airports and roads get shut down by the Secret Service. Public service employees like cops and fire fighters and disaster relief personnel get diverted from their normal duties, etc., etc. Right after a natural disaster the locals don't need the burden of dealing with a Presidential visit. A normal human being doesn't want to add to the burden that people who have just lived through a disaster are feeling.
I guess you're not smart enough to think about stuff like this.

With a "normal" President, Definitely! But Joe Biden? Nobody even walks up to shake his hand. He uses a stairwell to get on Air Force One that's designed for toddlers. On the beach.....: www.ndtv.com...
Former President Trump has a larger entourage, and generates a larger welcome....EVERYWHERE.

Actual accountability and responsibility are pure annoyances to Biden who just wants to enjoy all the trappings of a king, believing he is like a king, albeit a very evil one. When asked about Hawaii recently he just stammered "No comment" about the disaster. That is not a clean or decent human being's response.
I love how those who adore Biden believe they have somehow ascended in intellect and then suddenly know everything about what Biden does, logistics, travel plans, building schematics, etc. What the locals of a disaster area need, and make excuses for what Biden actually did by attempting to explain what he did, because you know the man just like one of his close advisors does. It's the cult phenomenon of cultists thinking.
ROFLMAO even.

There's five airports that could handle a presidential or military landing in all the Hawaiian Islands, there's over 140 in Florida...
The secret service dictate where a president goes pretty much, even if they say they want to go here or there they can easily veto it for safety reasons, even if it's for ol Joe, they have a job to do.
That being said, maybe the whole maui shenanigans got them thinking he needs to pay a little more attention to these kind of things, but, that just fulfills the old saying the bridge is only fixed after it has fallen, and he and his admin only care once people barked at him the first time.

So then, what's your explanation for why it took Trump 15 days to visit Puerto Rico after it was hit by Hurricane Maria?
