Alan Joyce Aka the lil leprechaun the ceo of Qantas is in trouble due to not approving refunds on flights that were cancelled during vivid times, and only offering flight credits.

This guy is out of touch, can you imagine you are at the airport and have a trip you have booked accomodation have the kids with you and want to take em on a holiday.

You have no choice other than go to another carrier, and cough up higher fare prices, as you don’t want to upset the family.

Then only to be told by the leprechaun ☘️ that you won’t get a refund only flight credits, that have to be used by December this year.

Fffs you are already out of pocket from Qantas and out of pocket to get an alternative carriers flight.

And you can’t get a cash refund.

What a pathetic leprechaun.

Speaking at the senate hearing sayingbwatar should not be allowed additional flight slits into Australia, to increase competition.

Self interest aye?

Not only that, but they're saying that many of the flights were cancelled before they even sold people the tickets....

I read about that, though they even cancelled flights four months ahead of the departure date.

4 months is plenty of time to organise a stand in aircraft.

And the bookings were probably still
Open even though the flight has not been publicly announced as cancelled…..makes you go hmmm.

Is this a fraud to raise cash to support the airline interim?

Knowing they won’t refund cash and it’s capital raising illegally.

Selling seats that don’t exist.

Opens a real can of worms.

Not when it’s a private company that the gubment should sever the umbilical cord.

The longer the lack of competition continues, the more suspect activity the leprechaun will create such as no cash refunds only credits.

I did hear on the radio today that Qantas will no longer have a time limit on the credits and will also be offering cash refunds. As for what is really going on?

Yes and you wouldn't dare to advise that government should become separated from economy... so it could protect it's citizens better from unethical economic decisions. Nah that'll make you a commi, so we keep reaping what we sow.

Government is the only tool at the disposal of the people to have a say.
The world has always been dominated by conglomerates of private power structures, and we didn't get government for free. It's our only chance, and we neglected it and gave away our voices to some "representatives".

If we don't get economy out of government like we did with religions, # like the story in the OP will keep happening, and getting worse.

Ha. Not the only tool at our disposal at all.

Ask the French and the Russians.

What is really going on is the ACCC began legal action and accused them of gaming the system, and Qantas doesn't want that. There's also a class action suit started.

Sure, and the US constitution gives its people the legal right to usurp their government.

But not if its just one side that does the usurping.
If its just one side, well then its just opposition and part and parcel of your political system.

The only revolution that isn't unconstitutional is one that comes from we the people as in united not divided along the political parties....

Sure. This is Australia however, we only have the rum rebellion…

The term 'Rum Rebellion' was not used at the time. The factors leading up to Bligh’s arrest had much less to do with the rum trade and much more to do with a battle for power between the military and civil elites of the colony and the Governor.
