IRS agent fatally shot by fellow agent during training exercise

An Internal Revenue Service (IRS) agent was fatally shot on Thursday by another IRS agent during a training exercise in Arizona

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the deadly shooting took place at the Federal Correctional Institution Phoenix Firing Range, where multiple federal agencies were working at the time

The FBI’s Phoenix field office is investigating the shooting.

This could have been a shooting range accident. It wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened.

What do you think ATS...How was this IRS agent fatally shot? Ricochet? Friendly fire? Suicide?

Perhaps we should wait for the facts rather than just guess.

Speculation is half the fun

Yes! I can't wait for MSM to give us their version of the 'facts'!

There came a point in time when I wondered if some people are only here as controlled opposition....or just low-level thinkers who prefer to go with the 'official' narrative MSM feeds them.

Like the COCAINE at the White House. Our Government feels no obligation to provide us with facts, even though WE are their damn employer!

So you'd rather we guess, then?

Should we wait for the government to tell us how and what to think, or shape our opinions for us??

That's a choice. Not mine, but still it's a choice.

Most times it seems that the speculation or theory is found to be valid in the end.

No it doesn't.

Just saying, there are more instances of "I CALLED IT!" happening as of late.

No, there are not.

We have such limited info. Guessing exercises the mind, makes starting this thread, worth it.

Actually, simply guessing, in the absence of any facts, does nothing to exercise the mind. Any idiot can do it.

Figuring out what is actually real, taking the facts into account, is what exercises the mind.

Lol, ATS exists solely to bounce ideas and theories off each other. With a little bit of pure knowledge thrown out there.
Our biggest problem is more like too many hall monitors and crossing guards, throwing out their own private rules.

Typically not if it’s set up properly, with grizzly old range masters who brook no schite from fools and incompetents. The kind who may draw on you if you’re wandering around with your gun pointing every whichway.

They call it Freedom of Thought , A scary concept to you I know.

How do you Figure out what is real with out educated guessing ? Sitting around and waiting for the Media to tell you what is real is not an exercise of the mind in fact it is the opposite it's very lazy .

How does the MSM figure out the Facts ??? They don't ...the facts are the facts and we all can access them but what the Media gives you is Spin and Bias.

It WAS a training exercise.

An agent with the IRS was shot and killed during a firearms training exercise in Phoenix, the FBI confirmed Friday.

The shooting occurred at the firing range of the Phoenix federal prison, which is the interagency training ground for federal agents in the region, the FBI said.

IRS agents were at the range Friday for “routine training,” the bureau said.

Details of the incident were not made available.

“To preserve the integrity and capabilities of the investigation, details of the ongoing process will not be released. Findings of the FBI investigation will be turned over to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Arizona for review,” the bureau’s Phoenix office said in a statement.

“The FBI’s investigation will be methodical and thorough to address every element of the incident.”

I wouldn't expect too much nor honest info right away since hey, it's the FBI doing the investigating.

You know that road sign 'watch for falling rocks'? Well, watch for cover-ups and misinformation.

PHOENIX (KPHO/Gray News) - An agent with the IRS is dead after being accidentally shot by another agent during a training exercise Thursday at a federal gun range, according to officials.

On Friday, IRS officials identified the victim as 47-year-old Patrick Bauer, a longtime Arizona resident.

Arizona’s Family reports a spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed that an incident occurred at its gun range in the Phoenix area. The gun range was reportedly being utilized by multiple federal agencies at the time of the shooting through an interagency agreement.

A spokesperson said no Federal Bureau of Prisons employees were injured.

Many forgot the IRS now has thousands of weapons, millions of rounds of Ammo, and are preparing to be more "aggressive" in their enforcement and collection activities.

PHOENIX — An agent with the Internal Revenue Service was shot and killed Thursday during a routine training exercise in north Phoenix.

Charlotte M. Dennis, a spokesperson for the IRS Phoenix field office, confirmed special agents were participating in the exercise at a firing range when the shooting happened.

I figured there would be a joke or two about how they’re getting a little feel of citizen justice, as they practice on the range.

It’s kind of odd that they need to say that bit about prisons employees, at the end.

The interagency thing is weird too, since they make darn sure you know about that, but give zero details.

Has a strange smell to it.

Let's put this in real wording.

To preserve the Secrecy and incompetence of the Investigation , Facts and Truth will be withheld . The Real story will be will be turned over to the DOJ .

Nothing will come of this , etc blah etc blah.

An amazing template for never having to tell the truth, or tell the public anything.
“Ongoing investigation” + “National security” = they can milk it for 75-100 years, just like JFK.
As with JFK, you know they’re guilty as hell every time they do this. But they walk free.
This is why it’s also obvious that they are their own government.
On one side you have schmucks like Biden and Harris who runs a mostly fake govt to entertain the people.
On the other side you have the folks who really run things. CIA, FBI, the Fed, State Dept.
I don’t think the DOD, DOJ, State, IRS, Homeland Security, always worked for these guys, but I think they do now since Clinton-Obama.
