Korean Hollywood

Man I spent almost an hour typing this up and because of a certain herb I clicked the back button.....
It is what is it so I will attempt to summarize what I had previously typed.
So some years ago I was planning a move to Seoul.
So as a good person I stared to learn Korean and also started to watch the shows that are popular is S.K.
Many are goofy but whatever. They really do have some goodies man.
So if anyone is intrigued by this I have a great suggestion that would help bridge the gap.
Now here In the only country that matters....America.
We had a show that was widely popular and maybe you have heard of it.
Designated survivor
Awesome show and if you have never watched it then you are missing out.
S.K. also did one called "Designated survivor, 60 days".
It is on Netflix and will captivate you and make you wish the American one was as good.
Now there are many MANY Korean shows on Netflix that are great.
But I think most here would enjoy watching the Korean version.
Keep in mind if you don't know Korean you will have to read subs.
I know some but certain dialects just mucks with my head.
So I read.....

I would love to provide a youboob trailer but as of now my phone is being wonky and lord knows I would have to this all over again.

If someone could help me out with a trailer that would be cool.

I basically watch just Korean shows/movies.

I’m watching one right now that is really compelling, called Mouse.
It’s a thriller and absolutely bone chilling.
I’m not into gory and scary stuff but this one got me sucked in.

I watch some on Netflix but mostly on Viki Rakuten.

I wish I could.

I just can't watch sub titles. I am either watching the movie or reading.

I don't know why it works that way but it does. Unable to enjoy a movie when i have to read what is going on.

I tried to watch "Squid Game". Gave up in 10 mins.

I might as well read the book.

I know basic Korean and am not fluent at all.
It used to annoy me so much to read subtitles but now I’m like an expert at it.
I watch so much it has now become second nature.

It’s like when you first learn to type, it’s slow and painful at first, then you don’t even think about it.
Subtitles are exactly the same way!

The series produced by foreign countries are far far superior to anything Hollywood is pumping out.
I watch almost all Korean, and just a little Chinese, Japanese, Indian and S. American shows now. They are so much deeper, and more entertaining.

I never watched that.
I play a game called Arma often and many servers kept doing whatever they do in squid games that it turned me off from watching it.

It seems that here in America people only care about big explosions and car chasing. Which is cool but the depth of character building and dealing with real life issues Korea has nailed it!
And I absolutely love the respect the foe gives in person.
You don't get that here.

That show keeps flooding my netflix so they must know me!

Have you watched The Glory?

There is a big scandal in Korea right now because there is a somewhat true story behind it.

Surprised huh!?
I have spent many MANY hours learning Asia culture down to specific countries.
Hense why I don't give you a fuss about certain subjects.
You have embedded yourself within aspects of that culture.
And that is a very good thing I believe.
