There are three videos of the flashes in the night sky at the link showing the same thing from different angles.

Think it was a meteor? Looks like a downward angled meteor to me, but the three flashes kinda make me think it was a weapon for some reason.

But since this is ats i might just call it a UFO 😂

Considering the Lyrid shower peaks over the next couple days, that was probably the most likely candidate.

UFO is erroneous...term is UAP now-a-days .... the nextdoor Dimension is regularly sending crafts into our Dimension quite easily as the magnetosphere no longer forms a strong enough 'Force Field' at the Boundary Line between Dimensions

Spectacular!

My bet it was a meteor air burst.

The atmospheric drag when entering at a angle like that is off the charts , blows up from the heat generated by the friction with air.

Agreed.

Though I believe Ukraine started out by claiming it was a NASA satellite, lol.

The very few times Occam’s razor could be either way.

Meteor or weapons reentry, after all there is a war there.

Whether it was a meteor or debris, it came from space. You can tell because you can see it breaking up as it enters the atmosphere. I can't get the twitter link in the OP to load, but I saw a couple of videos of it yesterday

Link

If it was a weapon, then it must have been russian, because it failed miserably.

Because it was still in orbit at the time of the crash.

That's why.

Oh, and Ukraine lies their ass off, so there's that too...

Not for long. And read my link.

They thought it was the satellite "at first".

Not unreasonable?

What would Ukraine gain by lieing about this?

Why even allege it?

Oh, because you don't like Ukraine.

I didn't say it was unreasonable, I said I lol'd because I knew it wasn't a satellite, because it was still in orbit at the time.

Why should I like Ukraine?

Yeah, no, that looks nothing like a satellite re-entry. Too fast, not breaking up like others. Plus, RHESSI orbited at an inclination of 38° and that alone precludes almost the entirety, if not all, of Ukraine.

I agree that it's a laughable notion.

4/20 was yesterday.

Here are some examples of manmade craft reentering the atmosphere.

(Also in first video)

And here are some examples of meteors entering the atmosphere.

Chelyabinsk was a special case compared to a typical meteor above. Why? A typical meteor is around the size of a pebble to that of a fist. It only takes a football sized (American or rest of the world) object to make a fireball.

The Chelyabinsk meteor was a behemoth, comparatively, at around 60 feet in diameter and 10k tons. This is much larger and more massive than any single manmade object that has reentered the atmosphere. It was moving at roughly 43k mph. This is about two and a half times faster than orbital velocity, which is around 17k mph.

The 17k mph is also about the speed at which an ICBM warhead would reenter. Hypersonic missiles travel much slower within atmosphere in comparison, at around 4k mph.

This was not something manmade. It was moving too quickly, it was far brighter than any manmade object reentry, and it was not breaking apart as manmade objects do.

This was not something on the scale of the Chelyabinsk meteor. There was no widespread destruction, no large scale recordings, not very many witnesses.

This happened near the peak of the Lyrid meteor shower. It looks like a meteor. Occam's Razor says it's a meteor.

It almost certainly was a meteor based on the light curve. (That’s the brightness vs. time behavior.) However, that almost certainly has nothing to do with the Lyrid shower. Meteor showers are associated with burned out cometary nuclei that produce zillions of sand-grain sized meteoroids. None of those are very bright or break up when entering the atmosphere or make it to the ground. The large meteorites that produce the very bright displays are meteoroids of asteroidal origin. Those don’t produce showers.
